Probability for Running?

I'm just curious as to how the probability for running is determined. Does anyone know? Or is there even a way to actually tell.

im pretty sure its determined by speed, but if the pokemon has like the run away ability then i very sure its 100%

In battles it all about speed, unless they have run away. in the safarri Zone i think it's set based on Rarity. damn kagnaskahns and chansey's always run right away on me. the odds change with bait and rocks of course.

It's about the Pokemon's Speed. However if you have the Ability Run Away or the Pokemon is holding Smoke Ball then the rate should be 100%

The Pokemon's condition is also taken into account. YOu'll have more trouble if it's low on HP or has a status problem.

Oh yeh, it's also determined by whether your opponent is a Golbat, in which case you'll only be able to escape with about 12 Hp, after having flinched/hurt yourself in confusion at least once.

Those things are so annoying. Hax Attax your pokemon, then leave them so weak they die on the next.

Couldn't be entirely speed. Some Pokemon can not be escaped even when the Pokemon running is faster. Is there maybe an equation for the probability?

I think that its determined by how the pokemons speed are different ,the closer the speeds stats are the same, the less chance of running successfully Did u use agility or sumthing den ran? i dun think the stat changing moves count

Well, I know that one a Pokémon is afflicted by paralysis, the chances go down. At least, that's what I've noticed. Perhaps it's just a coincidence.
