Problem With Norton AntiVirus 2006

Hi.
I recently got the latest version of Norton AntiVirus and since the moment which I downloaded the program I've been experiecing the same problem.You see turning on intrusion prevention is impossible.I've tried many ways it just won't work.I don't get an error message or something,I just click and nothing happens.Also when I run liveupdate there is 1 update which I always can't receive.And from the name of the specific update I can make out that it is related to the intrusion prevention feteure.Any help?

You could do like my dad did. When we downloaded the NAV, it wouldn't allow for connection to the internet. Like the last one did, so after fiddling about and even when I couldn't fix the problem, he called the computer company. For us, it's gateway. for you, well, whatever company/brand name/whatever that you got your computer from.

Using Norton Antivirus is asking for trouble. Not to mention that it slows down your PC alot, as it's a huuuuuuuuge resource hog. Use AVG Free.

Do not try to switch people to different software. It will not solve the problem.

I suggest that you reinstall NAV 2006. Uninstall and Reinstall the program.
