Problem with Yellow

I have a problem with my yellow versian.
I never had any of the other games(R/Y/B/C/G/S) so I dont know if this is supposed to happen but...

1.It will not save nomatter what I do.

2.Every time I see a pokemon or my rival or something its always covered in black and red lines.

Anybody know whats wrong?

Is that possible??? Maybe the store just made a mistake??? I told them(and prooved to them that it was bad and that I had got it there) and they gave me a refund.

more like corrupted. would he realize cart anomalies if it was fake? Similar thing happened with my friend's gold (and that had tons of Lv100s. ) I would send it back.

Looks like he already did. Though I thought they were only supposed to replace it with another copy of said product
