Maybe Nintendo just wanted to make an interesting evolution for Nosepass (although it itself is pretty weird) so that it will have a certain style similar to Nosepass, but look a bit stronger.
I think Magmortar and Electrovire look pretty cool, though.
Tangrowth is kind of strange, but has a unique air about it (in my opinion).

Nosepass and Probopass are my least favorite Pokemon ever. Magmortar looks like a psycho clown thing, Tangrowth is just a bigger Tangela with hands, but I actually like Electivire. It looks strong without looking too tacky or gaudy.

I personally like Probopass. Give me one way they could've made a Nosepass evolution look cooler.
Tangrowth's okay,he's just like the Kanto Pokemon with their "Get bigger" evolutions. IE;Clefairy->Clefable,Staryu->Starmie.

They must've been pretty drugged up to even think of Pokemon in the first place.
What's wrong with Probopass? It's like you all take Pokemon way too seriously. It's only a game - therefore, I think we can all take a Potato Head replica light heartedly.

You guys do realize that you're playing a game where little fuzzy animals (though not particularly in the case I'm presenting) created both the land and sea but also control time and space.
If you're whining about how the thing looks just think back to that, look at yourself in a mirror and get back to me.
If you don't like the looks I suggest you bring it up with Nintendo, they probably aren't making much money on the game because of those above evolutions.

It's "mustache" and "hat", it's gained form evolution, is acutauly cool, it's the same style as Nosepass but even better "fake body parts".

Seriously, why the hatred and confusion? Nosepass and Probopass are Moai Pokemon and they look only slightly goofier than real-world Moai:

If 'pass ticks you off so much, take it up with the extinct civilization of Easter Island. They built thousands of the things for purposes we still don't know and little else has ever been found of their society...almost as if sculpting statues with gigantic noses was the only thing these people did.
Though there's no scientific reason to do so, many people associate Moai with aliens and UFO's. It was once theorized that they were carved in the likeness of extraterrestrial visitors, and Moai-type creatures are still used as aliens in a LOT of Japanese video games. It was inevitable that we would get Pokemon versions, and I can't imagine them looking any other way.
But for the last time, its giant nose and mustache have NOTHING to do with Mr. Potato Head. If anything it's just based on the classic "disguise glasses" seen here:

Dont knock Probopass he is my favorite poke (after Steelix and Weavile of course) The mustache and hat just makes him look even more badass. not to mention he's a great stealth rocker. He isnt weird to me anyway. Have you looked at eggsecutor lately (who is awsome in my opinion) Hes a friggin tree that grows... eggs. and thats my 2 cents

Why am I not surprised that somebody said something like this.
The moustache was a little over kill but I still like him. I think it would have bothered me if there wasn't an explaination for it. I think its supposed to be little paices of iron that were magnatised to his big nose.
Everyone else looks fine to me. I like how Magmortars arms look like cannons.

every one complains about the "fat, ugly evos" this gen. I happen to like all of them. I LOVE Magmortar and im tired of people calling him "clownish" and ugly.He has freakin cannons on his arms!Then they complain about his face...Look at Magby and Magmar's heads....Magmortar is a step UP. Probopass is wierd looking, w/ the mustache(or nose hair), but i like how he can actually face other directions(in 3rd gen, 2 nosepass could never fight...they are SUPPOSED to be facing north..always). the little noses are cool, and his pretty eyes are funny. Tangrowth is cool because it goes from 3'3" to 6'7". And the arms are cool.Lickylicky is cool, because of the funny name, and that he has more going for him than the tongue theme now.....he rolls around now, its funny. Electivire is probably my LEAST favorite of these new evos(still awesome, mind you), but magmortar is by far the best(funny cuz i used to not like magmar).Scythemantis, by reminding me of the maoi statue thing(which i had previously noticed), you just gave me an idea for an island team featuring Probopass, Dodrio, and Exeggutor.....
