Is there any way to scale down pictures for your profile? Anything I want to use easily goes over the 100X100 mark.

There are some programs such as Photoshop, Gimp, Paint Shop Pro etc. which are capable of re-sizing images. You can do so manually with paint, even, though it may go pixelly/distorted.

DO NOT use Paint for resizing!
It will screw it up pretty badly. If you don't mind that happening, feel free to use it, but I'm warning you...
