A baton is the stick runners pass to each other in a relay race. That's why the move is called this; it passes on things to the next player. It sounds like button. I'm surprised anyone doesn't know this.

Well, it doesnt sound like button at all... It sounds like - Bat - On. Baton.

But yes - I have heard it say in different games that its pronounced as Buhton pass. Without the A Like it should be

Come at me bro
Really? I thought Baton was pronounced 'Bay-ton'. If it was like button, then it would be spelt Batton Pass.

I was going to say "battle", to match the first part, with "button" for the second part, but decided "button" worked well on its own. Foolishly I didn't think of "BAT - on".

I normally pronounce Roserade (ROSE-rayd) but I have a Swiss friend who pronounces it (ROSE-a-RARD-a), like he's speaking German, even though he knows the proper pronunciation.

I say Roh-se-rad-eh, for the female, because it sounds kind of French and exotic, but Ro-seh-raid for the male. Also, Shiny Trainer, love your avatar.
