Ps3 to overshadow the Wii??

oK so i was with a friend yesterday to try and purchase a ps3, and we noticed that out of the like 389897474 people standing in the long lines, only about a fourth of them were there to purchase a Wii. I personally prefer the nintendo consoles, but my brother disagrees. do you think that the ps3 is gonns hog all of the attention and leave the wii desperately lurking in it's shadow?

PS3 Gamers are all for graphics while Wii players want original and good gameplay.

No, if anything it will be the other way around. The Nintendo Wii is actually new, compared to just an updated PS2. The graphics may not be as great, but who cares about graphics when you have great gameplay (Twilight Princess is a GC game originally, and it still kicks ***)

I've already seen long lines for the Wii. Some stores won't even sell them to anyone who doesn't have a reservation, either. 360's already been sold out at launch, so has PS3. The Wii will be the same.

You're talking about the US, right? Eh. I really don't care about what system does best anymore, as long as I'm enjoying myself. In fact, I'm not actually familiar with release dates here. Is the Wii already out or what.

Because in Japan I read it was the total opposite. Nobody *was* waiting in lines for the PS3 (Dunno' if that's the same now) and from some polls I've seen, such as gamefaqs, PS3 was always ranked the lowest.

So I don't know what an earth is going on. Didn't Sony's sales drop dramatically after the release of the PS3's pricetag?

Hell, today was the first time I've seen people in my town camping out for a new console.

...Because we all know Sony fans were all for the graphics last generation even though their console was the weakest, and that games with impressive visuals automatically can't be good in any other department. Right.

I haven't seen the line for the Wii, but I saw numerous tents outside Best Buy on the eve before the PS3's release. It was about as long as the line before the PS2's release. Sorry guys, but even though Sony may have turned off a small percentage of its fanbase, they still have a large enough following to carry them quite far this generation.

...God, I can't believe I'm defending Sony right now. I feel so dirty.

yes ps2 wasn't the best in graphics but ps3 is .people might've converted . God that sounded like i'm talking bout religion instead of video games cus i said they converted.
