Looks good so far.

Here's the new additions I see so far (possible) :

-Flash on websites (INCLUDES Flash games)
-downloadable game demos
-PSP paint
-PSP emailing system
-Hi-fi streaming audio via infrastructure mode (similar to PSP Radio)
-Alarm Clock
-Writing Pad
-PSP Organizer
-PS3 hardrive connection
-Music Store
-Possibly more stuff

Won't those just suck without a touch pad? In the choice between homebrew and this, not many people are going to be downloading the update

Not everyone wants homebrew. Now that newer and newer stuff are coming out, I'm considering upgrading my PSP with homebrew on it. You don't necessarily need a touchpad in order to use the features offered. People have been working with on screen keyboards for a long time. What they should do is make a keyboard for the PSP. That would be even better. I'll upgrade one of the PSP's to see what it's all about and figure out what to do after that. It'll probably be awhile before we get all that anyways (if ever.) It'd be cool if they could make an online keyboard like they have at PSPCONNECT. I'd be happy with that.

I just downgraded mine to 1.0 so I could mod it.. These arn't worth the update.. When I might lose my emulated games..

I dunno. I don't do so much with emulators anymore. I haven't seen a release for the 3.0 yet though. Might be awhile. Dunno why you would need to downgrade to 1.0 though, as 1.5 works just fine.

Is it possible for these updates to come on a newly-bought PSP? What I mean is, could I buy a PSP, and it'd be an upgraded one? even if it is 2.0.

Yes. The newer the PSP, the better a chance to get one with updated software. When I bought my 1st PSP, it came with 1.5. The next one had 2.0. I don't know if they have 2.5 or higher on the PSP's out of the box, but a lot of movies / games will have updates on them. You can go to a hotel or Starbucks and you can update from there if you need to. 3.0 isn't out yet though and I haven't heard of a timeframe when it would be available. Hopefully it won't be too long.
