Tip The Waitress
Nooo! I'm too young!
I really want a DS for the upcoming pokemon games and such, but a PSP is just so cool, with the internet and all. Could you guys give me some pros and cons of each to help me out? thx
Jesus Freak Josh said:Pros to DS: Not a crappy Sony product, better reviews, more games, touchscreen, wi-fi.
Cons: Nintendo product (Still take it over Sony), battery can probably go some what, an item for theft. If the touchscreen dies that could be trouble too.
Pros to PSP: Some games that are alright.
Cons: Sony product, dying battery life, fragile... That's about it.

MP3: What 250 for cheaper one 300-400 for better one?
Internet Capabilities? Some amount of money placed HERE
Now you must buy the gigabyte memory cards if you want alot of songs, which are a freaking crapload. But its your choice d00d.
Good ay!

The fact it can play MP3's is pretty cool, but how many people already have an MP3 player? I'm guessing almost everyone nowadays, and if you want to be able to store more than 5 songs, you'll need to buy a rather big memory stick, which by the way, will cost you more than an iPod nano.
And as for it's internet capabilities, I believe it's already been pointed out, but to be able to use them, you have to already have a PC with internet capability. So sure, if you want to browse the internet, on a tiny screen, with even simple websites taking hours to load, then go ahead
A few months ago, I would have been the first to recommend the PSP, or it least give a fair opinion, but now I can honestly say the PSP is a waste of money. It's far too expensive, has too many redundant features (UMD movies, why the hell are these selling?) and it has next to no games worth buying. Almost all of them are just straight ports of PS2 games, with worse graphics and less features. And now that GTA: LCS is being ported to the PS2, there's even less reason to own one.
The DS is certainly the way to go, many awesome games, wi-fi abilities, it's pretty cheap, and you don't have to worry about breaking it when you carry it around. It certainly does have it's bad points, i.e. it's heavy, and hurts to play for extended periods of time, but then again, you should be taking hourly breaks anyway.
