Pure Power ability...

Hey guys.

Does anyone know how Medicham´s Pure Power ability exactly works? I mean, if it kicks out only when Medicham is brought into battle ( like an ATTACK boosting move I.E. Swords Dance), or does it actually keep "attached" to Medicham (and keep its ATTACK doubled) until it faint?

The reason of this question is that I wanna know if you can combine Pure Power with a Skill Swap to give "Double Attack" status to another partner in 2 vs 2 battles.

no. I think its only work in 1 vs1 battle(i think)

the boost would be swapped along with the ability. although i think the boost is less if it's on a pokemon other than meditite/cham.

EDIT: you do know that medicham can't know skill swap, right?

Oh yeah...

I thought it could, but i checked move list. Anyway, maybe someone like Claydol, or Bannete, who could use that attack boost quite well.

It may be possible to transfer it, if the partner Pokemon has Skill Swap, since Medicham can't learn it. It would be only fair if the boost is less on the other Pokemon, though I'm not sure if it is.

I´ve seen one semelhant strategy in colosseum, Opponent had Claydol and Medicham/Azumarill as first Pokémon, Claydol uses Skill swap to give Medicham Levitate and get Pure Power, now that Medicham levitates, Claydol can freely use a Powerful Earthquake!

Boost in Medicham/Meditite: x2
Boost in any other Pokémon (via Skill Swap, Trace, Role Play): x1.5

Ah, and the boost of Pure Power can´t be baton passed.
