"Pocket Monsters Emerald Challenge!! Battle Frontier"

I am actually thinking about getting this one, but I have some doubts. First, it says "volume 1". But I can't find anywhere any other volumes, I have this feeling they have never been published at all.
Second, I can't actually find any decent information about it anywhere, except for the first two/three chapters or so from Dogasu's page. Seems like all the chapters were published in different CoroCoro magazines in 2004, but that's it.

So, uhm, it seems nobody actually owns it or cares about it. Being a rabid fan of the Battle Frontier I may be getting it anyway, but I'd rather have some more info before spending any amount on money seeing that I'm kind of broke at this moment.
(maybe knowing if the Frontier Brains actually APPEAR would be a huge boost in a direction D: )

Thanks in advance for any help :)

edit: finally corrected the link to Dogasu's page ^^; sorry for that.

I hope that it comes out in English, because for some reason they decided to do weird things in the production line.

The fact that the cover features Ruby(who isn't in the Frontier series) instead of Emerald(who is) makes me suspect that this is fake. I don't recognise the other person on the cover, and Vulpix isn't owned by any major Frontier character to my knowledge. Seeing as the volume covers for Special have only featured main characters, their Pokemon, and major Pokemon such as Groudon and the Regis...

FYI, this site DOES have info on the Frontier series.

No.. it can't be fake, otherwise I don't think it would be on a major shopping site. o_o I think it's a seperate Battle Frontier series that doesn't have anything to do Pokespecial, and I'm pretty sure it's not Ruby on the cover, but Yuuki instead, with his bug catcher apprentice.

M-m-m-m-onobear?!
And thus, my stupid post goes *poof* for the sake of the children. Posting right after lunch on Sunday is a good way to overlook things and thus make a fool of yourself. It doesn't help that this forum tends to keep one in Pokespecial mode. Many apologies D:

After doing some digging(since the link Irene provided doesn't work for some odd reason), it looks like Scott is in it, so I'd imagine that the Brains appear at some point, although it doesn't look like they show up in chapter one. Alas, I can't help any more. :<

Volcano Trainer
I got that one as a gift from a friend, I enjoyed it, but I did not understand as much of it as I would like to have. (my japanese is not good enough to read everything)
If it comes out in English you should get it, I recomond it to all pokemon fans and manga fans.

I second that, Goth_Guy. The idea of a Trainer who has severe trouble winning battles suddenly carted off to the Battle Frontier, a place for only the best, is genius.

It also expands on your "apprentice" in Emerald (read the page on Serebii.net, it even contains an image from the manga) with great flair. Compare the characters: Enta, who starts off with a one-tailed Vulpix and only captured those he befriended (Tropius and Illumise) and is seriously outclassed in battling; and Rald, who has powerful Pokemon, noticeably Dragons (Sceptile, Charizard, Gyarados and, oddly, Electrike) and is one of the strongest trainers around. Their major differences make them a Poke-odd Couple and fun to read about.

Sounds indeed interesting, I'll believe on your words Goth_Guy and The Doctor. Thank you ^^. I'll for sure put my hands on it in my next Amazon.co.jp order X3

Though nobody has told me yet if there's any Frontier Brain shown o.o?

Anabel is in this, but is male. Yeah, there was confusion on her gender when she's clearly female. What's weird though, is that when Enta challenges the Battle Pyramid, the toughest thing he fights is a Machamp and Brandon doesn't even show.

Guess it only focuses on the "master and apprentice" dynamic when it really should include the Brains as well. Weird @_@.

Oh, so THIS is the infamous manga with male Anabel! A good enough reason to get it o.o

... and I wonder why, among of all the seven Brains, you mentioned Brandon as not being shown. I mean, I know you told that because Enta went to the Pyramid and all but still... *points to own signature* D:

Ahem.

No other volumes are supposed to be published, I fear :/
