question about Pokémon Box: Ruby/Sapphire

In order to be given the eggs on Pokémon Box, I've read that all of the Pokémon you deposit to meet the given number need to come from the same game. Do they mean that they need to have the same ID number, or just that you need to deposit them all from the same game cart? If it's the latter, couldn't you just withdraw all Pokémon (that had been deposited from various carts) onto one cart, and then re-deposit them (assuming you had 100+ Pokémon in your Pokédex)?

It is important to note that these Pokémon do not all need to have the same original Trainer ID number, but must be transferred from the same game cartridge into Pokémon Box. This means that, in cases where a player has access to multiple games, all of the Pokémon can be transferred to one, then moved into Box.

So ostensibly, the answer is yes: you can just consolidate your entire collection of Pokémon into one of the GBA titles and transfer them to Box from there.
