I searched throughout the forums, and I couldn't find this topic. The word "Mew" was too short for the search engine, so hopefully I didn't miss anything.

I have a question that's basically hypothetical. I know discussions about cheating devices aren't allowed, but my question isn't about trying to get codes or anything like that. My question is... if the Old Sea Chart was obtained by using some sort of cheating device, is the Mew considered legit, or is it hacked as well? I don't think using a cheat is a good idea anyway, since it probably would screw up your game.

Sorry, but this still constitutes as discussion of cheating devices since you're asking a question pertaining to the effects of a cheating device.

Besides, I heard that if you cheat for the OSM(the acronym for the English language name for the item called Old Sea Chart), then you could get a bad egg as if you typed in an incorrect code when you really didn't. I don't know why, though, but still, if you want mew, then the only way to really get it is waiting for a nintendo promotional event like PRA, or maybe a bonus disc... Sorry...
