I am only a silver rank....

I defeated Moltres with a level 36 Wartortle the first time I battled him after I beat the game, he joined my team first try. I didn't even have the friend area (I got it once he joined the team)

Then, I defeated Zapdos first try with a level 35 Machoke and he also joined my team right away.

Was this pure luck? I don't even have a friend bow, and I'm only silver rank.

I tried Articuno once but he didn't join.

rank doesnt affect your chances,and they have 30 somthing percent of recruitment,so your pretty lucky because it took a while for mosst ppl to get them

The birds are incredably easy to recruit. Its not luck sorry to say.

no, it is not luck, when ifinally got a bird, i ried all of them right away and got um all. I'm guessing once u get the frend area for the bids, the other 2 r sure in the bag... course i was using a lvl 69...

Zapdos- 2nd try
Moltres- 2nd try
Articuno- 4th-5th try
