Pokémon Writer To Be
I'll try not to sound like a newb, I couldn't find these answers on the EV guide on the main site, so here goes:

1. If you use ten proteins to boost the attack of one of your pokemon(just using protein as an example) will you still need to EV train it?

2. If you max out on a stat, say speed, and you breed, will the baby be maxed out in speed too?

3.If both parents have a TM move(the same one), will the baby have it too?

4. Do natures affect Evs?

Sorry if I wasted anyone’s time, and thanks for your help.

http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=105223Check this place and see if it helps at all. If you have any other questions about EVs etc, ask there. :D

Edit: For your third question, Ratiosu didn't fully answer your question right. A TM move can ONLY be transfered from a male pokemon.

Kevster didn't fully answer the question, either: the baby hatches with a TM move if the father knows it, and the baby can learn it from a TM.

if you have other questions about EVs, post them in the thread kevster linked to.

if you have other questions about breeding, post them here: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=92338

1. You will still need to ev train because vitamins give 10 evs each, so if you use ten you will get about 100 (correct me if im wrong) ev points, but a pokemon needs 510 so yea you need to ev train.

2. Do you mean max speed evs? If so nope, the baby pokemon can only inherent ivs and natures.

3. I think so, why dont you save before you give the parents a tm and then test this for yourself?

4. No they do not effect evs because natures just add, or take away, or do nothing to a pokemons stat. Evs will just add extra to a stat. Evs will still take place in a pokemon with a bad natures.

3.) Just to clarify - If it is not an egg move both parents MUST know the move.

Just to clarify, if it is an egg move or a TM only the father needs to know it. If it is a move that the poke learns by leveling up (and is not a TM move) both parents need to know it. And TM moves can only be bred if the poke is able to learn the TM...just because the father knows it doesn't mean the egg can learn it.
