Quick Question Regarding the Legendary Birds...

Are there more than 1 of each of the Legendary Birds? This has confused me because Noland befreinded one.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Yes. We've seen three Moltres, three Articuno, two Zapdos, and three Lugia in the series.

We've only seen one Ho-oh though, so that may be the only one.

Thank you for answering my question. I was really confused since I've always thought there was only one of each.

And I was also wondering about Ho-oh. I read somewhere (It may of been in the games, can't remember) that Ho-oh is something like the creater of all Pokémon. So that being the only one is highly possible.

Heh, Mew is the creator of Pokemon. According to the anime.
I don't recall anything like that being stated in the animé. Unless you mean the movie trailer saying it was the "origin of all pokémon" or whatever, which does not necessarily mean that it created them.

Houou was always presented as more important and God-like than Mew, especially considering that there is only one, whereas the eighth movie demonstrates that Mew is apparently not as unique as was once thought. And there's the fact that there was never a movie made about it, which makes it seem all the more mysterious.

I think some ledendaries are not the single one. There are lots of celebi in the "Voice of the forest" movie.

Yeah, ok!

My theory on Serebii is that it was the same one that came from different times.

What about the one in the [SPOIL] Ranger [/SPOIL] episode? That didn't seem to be the same one from movie 4.

Another question, there are only one of each of the legendary dogs, right? I'm probably wrong, but I've been feeling that's there is only one of each. The same question goes for the Regis and Latis.

The ones I have a great feeling there is only one of are:
Mewtwo (Obviously. I Don't even need to think about him.)
Ho-oh
Deoxys
Rayquaza
Kyogre
Groudon

About the Mew/Ho-oh argument: I think Mew was the first Pokémon Ho-oh created. It was probably used as a spreadsheet to cretae more Pokémon from.

Also, doesn't strike you weird that the show's first epsisode featured Ho-oh when Ho-oh wasn't officially released until GSC? I've always wondered why they didn't just add him into the original 151.

There are only one of the legendary beasts, yes. Houou created them from the three pokémon trapped in the burning tower. At the present time I would be inclined to say that the Regis are unique since they serve as guardians for the tree, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them show up in the animé. There are more than one Latias and Latios, which would be common knowledge if not for 4Kids chopping off the fifth movie intro.

Er well uh...

They all had amnesia due to the anomaly in the continuity spectrum. Yes. >_>

...darn it, that doesn't work in this situation.

Eh, I just figure it's time to give a bit of background on Ho-Oh once in for all. Actually, it was time in Johto to clear some things up but whatever. >> Eh, maybe the last movie/arc will involve it, but considering the lack of actual plot that may not happen. Whee unsolved mysteries. Yes, I'm looking at you, GS Ball.

There were two Deoxys in movie seven, so there are definately a number of those. Just wanted to point that out.

Oh ya, I totally forgot about that. I just watched that movie, too. :p

Maybe the Pokémon Company doesn't want to release definite information of Ho-oh until the complete end of the series.

Torchic23

gee that's swell
Ho-oh: Definitly only 1
Deoxys: At least 2, remember the 7th movie?
Rayquaza: 1 for sure
Kyogre: 1
Groudon: 1
Lugia: More than 1
Moltres: More than 1
Articuno: More than 1
Zapdos: More than 1
Mew: Only 1, but there used to be many
Celebi: Many

Hope I didn't leave any out

Izit cuz I is black?
Maxie's dialogue in that episode thing implied that they had A Kyogre and A Groudon. This would mean that there is more than one of each. Oh well, we'll see with Movie 9.
