There's no age. It's for all ages, and it's boud to remain rather enjoyable.

I won't stop playing unless life asks for it...

Who would give up pokemon if they loved it. Not anyone I know.

Pokemon shouldn't be bound by age limits; anyone is free to enjoy pokemon no matter what age they happen to be. :/

like any game, it can be enjoyed at any age...

although my time is running short since I don't plan on getting a DS anytime soon and the anime's in a kind of limbo now that it's being dropped from WB or "CW".

No age is too old for Pokemon, or anything that you find enjoyable, really.
As long as it doesn't own your life, of course... but no one can tell you what to do in your spare time.

(I'm 21, by the way)

The day i start a family. A wife and kids would always be put over any kind of pokémon.

Wife: Honey, want to clean the dishes and take junior to his soccer game?
Me: Not now i've nearly got the sixth badge!

About the DS, I made an E-mail to Nintendo asking if they were going to shift from the Game Boys to the DS. Of course, I gave them opinions I gathered on other people's views too.

Honestly, I don't think there is an age. And here are two examples:
1) I remember there was a gameboy tournement at a local toysrus, and while I was there I met this lady who must have been in her 40's who was telling me about how she cried when squirtle left Ash's party
2) My mom played the pokemon games up until last year, and she's in her forties. The only reason she quit was because I stole her game (I wanted by GBA dang it) so I could play mine.

While these examples may be only in their forties, I still believe there is no quitting age.

Well, unless some strange spirit forced me not too, I will always play them. Although, when I grow in years, I may just start playing it less frequently. That's all. ^^;

Nothing to be done
When you're too old for video games, you're too old for Pokemon. So essentially, never. It's an ageless game, if nothing else. In time, I outgrew the show and the toys, and whatnot, but the cards (if you're into that) and the video games remain as universal as anything.

That's the point I was trying to make about not letting Pokemon own your life, and doing it in your spare time. ;P

Any age, as long as you're not so obsessed that it's, well.... nevermind.
I just hate it when older people join pokemon tournaments focusing around kids and teens, then beat them and win because they're older and probably smarter and know what they're doing. *CoughSeattle'sJourneyAcrossAmericaTournamentCough* Why? Because kids can't just buy their own plane tickets to NY like most grownups can. I mean, come on. Taking that away from a kid when you can do it yourself...?

I hope I didn't get off topic, but still.

PS, I don't know if that old guy won the tournament, but I know he was one of the last 2 remaining players. I left before I saw who won. He was a jerk to me when I battled him so I refused to watch him. ... Not even sure that made sense but yeah.
