I was playing on MKDS Wi-Fi when I noticed a R.O.B. that was golden with red arms. Can anyone explain this? Does this have to do with the region?

Gold and red were the main colors of the Famicom (Japan's version of the NES), so it seems likely that ROB would have been colored differently in the Japanese version.
