This is for a gym-leader type thing for another forum I am on. I'm supposed to stick to BL and lower for this, and this is my first mono-type team, so I need some help with it.
Electrode@Focus Sash
Static**Hasty
<252 Atk/6 SpAtk/252 Spd>
Rain Dance
Explosion
Thunder
Taunt
Electrode is pretty much mandatory on a Rain Dance team, and I'm allowed one Pokemon that's not the type I selected. For those of you that don't know, Electrode just sets up Rain Dance, possibly Taunt, if their lead is going to use Sunny Day, Hypnosis, or Substitute. Then, once that's taken care of, Explode away, unless the opponent is a Ghost or has the Damp ability, then that's what Thunder's for.
Kabutops@Life Orb
Swift Swim**Adamant
<200 HP/252 Atk/52 Spd>
Waterfall
Rock Slide
Aerial Ace
X-Scissor
Obviously, Kabutops is my physical sweeper. With Swift Swim activated, there's not much in BL that can outspeed it. I don't know whether I should stick with Aerial Ace and X-Scissor. I like them because of their type coverage, but I can't help but think that I should go with something with a little more power.
Cloyster@Leftovers
Shell Armor**Bold
<252 HP/252 Def/6 SpAtk>
Iron Defense
Rapid Spin
Spikes/Toxic Spikes
Surf/Ice Beam
I think Cloyster is a great special wall, but I can never decide what his movepool should be. I'm kind of tottering on Iron Defense, and I'm not sure whether to use Spikes or Toxic Spikes, if at all. Surf and Ice Beam are both about the same damage and they both have STAB.
Dewgong@Wet Rock
Modest**Hydration
<252 HP/6 Def/252 SpAtk>
Rain Dance
Ice Beam
Aqua Jet/Surf
Rest
Dewgong is my special sweeper. He provides backup for Rain Dance for when it goes out, and to help with Rain Resting. Can't decide whether to go with Surf, for massive damage, or Aqua Jet to make up for its mediocre speed.
Slowking@Leftovers
???**Calm
Surf
Thunder Wave
Light Screen
Slack Off
Slowking is my special wall. I can't decide which ability to give him, and I'm kind of wavering on giving leftovers, since two of my Pokemon already have them. I'm also wondering whether I should ditch Light Screen or Thunder Wave for another offensive move like Grass Knot.
Ludicolo@Leftovers
Rain Dish**Calm
<204 HP/180 Def/124 SpDef>
Rain Dance
Leech Seed
Substitute
Mega Drain
Ludicolo's main job is to provide another back-up for Rain Dance and sap as much health from the enemy via sub-seeding as possible. I've always been endlessly frustrated by enemies like this, so this was a natural choice.
Any help at all would be appreciated (Flaming/trolling doesn't count as help)
