• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

Rys you need to not spam and be a whiny jerkoff in people's posts. You have not given one shred of advice to this poster.

I like the pictures, they all looked good and were different.

On Latias, don't put Timid and then have no Spe EV's. Make it Timid 252 Spe (To beat Infernape), or Modest/Bold no Spe (for more SpA of Def).

I would switch Rain Dance for Roost on Zapdos. He will be able to sweep better, expecially since he is slow-ish and will be taking hits. Also, since Zapdos' HP is higher than his defense, you might want to use 188 HP/68 Def, 124 HP/132 or 60 HP/196. The spread farthest to the left is best at taking Special hits, but worst at taking physical hits. I'm assuming you can identify the patter that ensues from left to right ;]. Those get maximum leftovers recovery and more Def. Although the difference is misicule, it's still there.

You probobally want Scarf Starmie. It's much better at dealing with the threats you listed in your Starmie's description.

Use the EV's Modest: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP Conveniently, 252 Spe EV's and a Modest Nature + Choice Scarf puts you 1 Spe point ahead of a max Spe + Nature DD'd Salamence. The rest in SpA for Maximum Power.

I've never done a DD Tar. I don't really know it, so I won't pretend too. Maybe someone else will have some advice on it =/

Use the Scizor EV's already suggested in this thread. Or, if you want better SpD, use: Adamant: 100 HP/156 SpD/252 Atk because Scizor is a fantastic check against things like Gengar, Starmire, and Celebi.

Use the Lucario EV's I recnetly came up with. Adamant: 252 Atk/128 HP/128 Spe I know you're probobally thinking 'A 128/128 spread? What a noob!' (Right?) but in actuality, that spread works perfectly for Lucario. You get Maximum Attack, enough Spe to outrun 40-Spe Zapdos by 2 (?) points, with 40 Spe being very very common on Zapdos. Use Stone Edge over Ice Punch, as it's better against Gyarados, and it's hopeless against Gliscor and Salamence. Unless you're fighting Defensive Salamence. But he's designed to beat you, so it's hopeless there too. Just switch to Starmie (or Latias for Gliscor) and own them =]

This team is very, very similar to the one I just made. I have Mamoswine, Latias, Zapdos, Lucario, Machamp, and undecided.

Great minds think alike, right? Actually, it's funny. Last time I was about to post a RMT, another person posted an extremely similar one. And it happend again! But yours is so creative that it's not bad at all this time. Although it's *spooky*, because I was considering Starmie and Scizor for my final slot >.>

I think the rain/sand thing could work, especially since both halves are not dependant entirely on their respective weather. I think the strategy goes along the lines of 'Rain, attempt Sweep with Starmie and Zapdos' and then later in the match 'Sand, attempt sweep with Tyranitar and Lucario' correct? or am I reading to much into it?

Lucario loves Stealth Rock. It helps him take down Skarmory with a OHKO by a noticable margin. You may want to add that, but I don't see where you could.

Good team. It's well-versed defensively, and has multiple sweepers. It's hard to fit both offense and defense into a team, but you have quite nicely. I'm just bummed that I can't use Scizor or Starmie b/c I'd feel like I was copying >.>

btw where'd you get the art for the Tyranitar? It looks cool.

I don't think that is the case for you two.

Thanks, I spent some minutes looking for them, cause I'm new to this forum and thought people actually liked posts with nice pics =S

I've thought about that. In fact we seem to think alike about this game ^^
And I also lack a gyra counter late game if zapdos and starmie are dead

That's pretty much the strategy ^^

Yeah. I lack a place for it unfortunately. My probably counter to Skarm would be ttar's fire punch boosted

In fact it was the worst to get. I just got to google images and selected the best I could find for each poke. Ttar was the worst of them, I think, but it stills look good. I personally loved luke's and zapdos's pics. I became a fan of Lucario, because of its plot and its game usage. One of my favorite pokes now.

Comments in bold ^^

But eventually if you keeping winning thorugh surprise people will stop being surprised. Also he could have just been battling noobs that have no idea about the metagame.

Oh yeah cause everyone continuously faces the same people don't they?
And what, he faced 28 noobs? yeah like that's probable.
And excuse me aren't you the one who just came back to pokemon after like a 6 month "break" how the hell can you say wehter or not a team will work?
Seriously if you havn't got anything helpful to say don't say anything.

Actually that is probable seeing as most people who play pokemon aren't people that know the metagame.

so adorable...
Rys, stop posting in this thread if all you are going to do is flame and spam.

EDIT: Scratch that.

Rys, stop posting if all you are going to do is flame and spam.

Yeah. Now its 49 noobs unaware of the pokemon metagame. And haven't even updated the team with the advice given.

Suck a huge noob world, isn't it?

I've lost 16 though, it's impossible to win always, and as I said, I'm noob to this and sometimes lose because of wrong switchs or lack of time to think during work (horrible to admit it, but I sometimes play at work =/ )

You could almost say the same thing about christiandeath77, but they might have offered a little advice, not sure, I'm too dumbfounded by all the retarded posts in this thread to be 100%

I think the only reason he posted this was for controversy...

Anyway, Interesting Evs spreads, and a babiri berry on t-tar?

I find that funny.

Well, I find your team unusual, and I think you should try your hand at...

Funny? Lol and I thought I was the only noob here. Babiri so he survives scizor's bullet punch and ohko back with fire punch. If you dont know, scizor's bullet punch is very common and so is the threat scizor offers to the OU metagame.

If you doubt of my team, come search me on shoddy anytime you want.

Peace.
