Ralts, Kyogre, and Emerald.

Here is my problem. I'm currently in whatever the cave is called that you catch Kyogre in. Since I want a good nature on Kyogre I breed for a Modest Ralts with Synchronize (50% chance of finding wild pokemon with same nature). I put the Lv.5 Ralts in the front of my party and saved. I then start the battle with Kyogre use my Master Ball (I want good Iv's) and of course catch it. When I check the status screen it has the wrong nature so I think "oh well it's only a 50% chance". Ten attempts later I can't believe that I havn't gotten a Modest one yet.

So my question is am I just really unlucky, or does Synchronize not work on legendary's.

Btw I am using Emerald (incase you didn't read the title).

it probably just not your lucky day. after all, i bred absol with an everstone to get the same nature and after 20 i didnt even get 11 having the same nature! just keep on trying

If you're using your MB on Kyogre, why not just ditch Ralts and St+Se+A+B each time instead?

Synchronize has the additional effect (not mentioned in-game) of increasing the chances of encountering a Pokemon of the same nature. I believe this is only in Emerald.

In nature yes.... supposedly it doesn't work with event based pokemon, i.e kyogre, rayquazzaa, regis, that sudowoodoo, only those that u find in the grass, desert, etc.
Lots of people will disagree but that's what happens... people disagree.

and as for the person who was wondering why using the ralts at all... he was resetting for nature AND ivs... the ralts... if it had worked... would have helped the nature part and so he'd be resetting for ivs mainly.

Syncronize does work on legendaries, but youre proboley just really unlucky, keep trying or kill ralts and just use the master ball with soft reseting to get the desired nature.

as mentioned before, synchronize doesn't work with groudon/rayquaza/kyogre/regice/regirock/registeel/lati@s. i haven't tested the one-time-only sudowoodo, but i don't know whether it'd work. the legends, though, i'm sure of.

I've already got 2 Latios.
I own a spare copy of Sapphire version so I can get a new Master Ball in less then 7 hours.
I know Kyogre is easy to catch if you just want the nature, but if you want good Iv's it could take a very long time.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I've dumped the Ralts and just soft resetting now.
