what are some locations of rare candies in gold/silver?

i searched and couldnt find anything

Have you been at Cinnabar Island? In north of the town it is a small passage and at the end of that its a hidden item.

There are so many rare candy's in the 1st generation games. In G/S/C there are only a few. In my game Pokémon Gold i have only found one of them.

I remember one more in violet city. you surf in one of the water in the city and then you find one.

Okay, I haven't read any of the posts before, so I am going to list all the ones I can remember :-

Rare Candies
Violet city - surf across a body of water
Mt.Mortar - Near the karate master' room
Cinnabar Island - Press (A) on all the squares behind the big mountain
Cycling Road - Press (A) on all the patches of grass till you find it
East of New Bark -Simply surf through the water till you see a man, surf down to find a rare candy

The one in the lighthouse...on the second or thrid floor...it is on a secondary pathway...i think...

theres one by the lake of rage. when ur in the grass go to your left ad keep looking

I can remember finding one on the daycare route, if you use surf on that river there and go on this piece of land, you can find a rare candy there.

And in crystal, you can buy unlimited candies at the radio tower if you have at least three points on your blue card.
But since you said for gold/silver, I presume you don't have crystal.

you can also go to buena in the radiotower
if you answer the right password by listen to your radio.
on frequency 10.5 .
every nicht from 6 to 12 you need to answer the password.
for every good password you wil earn 1 point.
if you have 3 points you need to talk with the lady in the left corner.
she will see you a list en there is an rare candy for 3 points.
thats an easy way to get an rare candy.

I think he means in Gold and Silver, not Crystal, and Buena's Password is only in Crystal.
