Thank you Come again
NOOO!!!!!! I know this IS a little late but I need to say it. WII ARE RARELESS!!! What does that mean? No Jet Force Gemin. No Perfect Dark. No Banjo-Kazooie (OR Banjo-Tooie for that matter). No Goldeneye. And No *sniff*.... Conker's Bad Fur Day. We do although have Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64.
I am now concidering a Nintendo 64 to wipe away the blues. THESE GAMES WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!

Discuss....*sniff*....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its true but wii is rareless, and besides those games arent necessarily the best are they?
Do the consoles hang in the balance for you just because of the games?Im sure some great titles like luigis mansion 2,SSBB and zelda are good enough arent they?

Actually, the DS will have Diddy Kong Racing, with new characters, and Donkey Kong 64 will be downloaded onto the Virtual Console. It's just that Nintendo and Square Enix obviously aren't localizing Dragon Quest V and VI, that and the SNES Dragon Quest games, unless they include a special code to get ANY Dragon Quest game downloaded through the Virtual Console for free, when you buy that Dragon Quest game on the Wii.

shove it up ya bum!
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie were my favourite games when I had my N64. I had Diddy-Kong Racing aswell. I was told that there would be a Banjo-Kazooie 3 on GC by a number of sources, but to no avail.

What? a time machine? I have been teleported into 2002 again?

Did you guys really think that Rare would come back to nintendo after moving to microsoft exclusive ( console-wise)?

I used to love Rare as well, mainyl because of their awesome FPS and Conker, but...the Rare staff today isn´t the same as in the N64 days.
Their games aren´t as good as they were used to.

The new PD is pretty boring and conker is a simple remake with a medicore multiplayer.

I prefer Free Radicals, where many old Rare members work now. You can see this in the gameplay of the games ^^

Fist I was sad that Rare left, but after a while I realized that Rare isn´t as good anymore..not a big loss.

I don't think so, but if Rare and Microsoft play their cards right, we could see some Pre-Order bonus for Pre-ordering the NEXT Banjo-Kazooie game - A Bonus Disc with Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie on one disc, with previews for other Rareware games.

I do not think that the bonus thing will ever happen. I mean, why would nintendo let microsoft have games for one of their ex-consoles, unless I have just completly mis read your post.

I think that it is not a huge loss that they are not here now, I mean, you should look at the games that Wii does have, not what it doesnt. I am sure that there are going to be loads of great games for this console, even if it is Rare-less

So the Wii is Rare-less, big deal. You can still pick up a used N64 console and games at gamestores for a cheap price.

Look at all the games Rare recently released for Microsoft. See how bad the games are? Nintendo pretty much ripped off Microsoft when it came to letting Rare go to them. >_>

Rare's notorious for taking WAAAY too long to release games. And when they do, it's usually at the end of a console's life or is just really bad. The only games of their's that I enjoyed were the Donkey Kong Country series, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing and Killer Instinct.

Teddi said it and I agree, many of Rare's recent games have been pretty bad. Did you see Grabbed by the Ghoulies? People knew that game would be terrible before it came out, and every one was right. My friend loves Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64, and when he played Perfect Dark 0, he was heart broken and angry. I have not played Banjo-Kazooie, But I'm told its just a less entertaining version of Super Mario 64

I do like Golden Eye alot though, but who doesnt? Wizards and Warriors and Marble Madness are good (though MM is a depressing kind of game) are very fun, and yes they were made by Rare!

Thanks for cherring me up! I now see the light! *lightball goes out* ....*ahem*

Ex_Kyogre: Its not that Nintendo's games were second best in my eyes, which they aren't. Its just that I enjoyed Rare's N64 games.

YoshiAngemon:
Post 1) I never played Diddy Kong Racing, but I heard it rivaled Mario Kart well, no? At least I'll get to hear the DK Rap again (appart from SSBM). I'm not quite sure what you mean by the rest of your post. If you were to rephrase, I would appreciate it.
Post 2) But that would still be on the Xbox 360.

DriveshafT: I enjoyed Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie aswell. I never owned them as I haven't owned a N64 before but I played it at my friends. Was Diddy Kong any good? If only Banjo-Threeie appeared on Wii, *sigh*, One can only dream...

TeddiUrsa: No, but I...I don't know what I thought...I was just dissapointed. Their games were Legend, I agree! I don't have any form of Xbox, but from what I've heard, yea, the Rare games supposedly only support the Graphics policy. What games have FreeRadical made? Do they support Nintendo?

Kez: Your right. E3 shows brilliant examples...well from what I've seen.

Edward Elric: Thats what I have been thinking...Do you believe its a good idea? You are right. Viva Pinata? WTF? It's coming out to the 360 but everyones just going to groan. I heard Kameo was going to come out first on N64 then GCN came out so they tried to release it there but Rare got bought by Microsoft so they put it on Xbox, and then Xbox 360 came out and it finally came out. Supposidly, it sucks. Thats just sad....

HEYGUYSWEEZLINGROCKS: Supposidly Grabbed by the Ghoulies (lol) was crap. Perfect Dark was Perfect. Is it true Perfect Dark zero ruins the series? Sad... I though Banjo-Kazooie was great! Rare in the old day was awesome.

Thanks people for your support. I learnt alot

Yeah. Rare aint good as they used too. But too bad we can't get their earlier titles while they were still good...I miss my Jet Force Gemini.... and Donkey Kong 64...oh well big whoop.

Please! It's obviously an empty threat, just like Skeletor's "I'll be back!" threat at the end of the Masters of the Universe Movie. Besides, if anything, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie might end up being ported onto the Nintendo DS, in the same way Super Mario 64 DS is.

What the?

Am I the only one here who is STILL faithful to Rare, and still believes in them?

I mean, I loved CBFD so much, that I just had to go and get Conker: Live And Reloaded. I'm glad that I bought it too, cause it's great game (of course, it's the only Xbox game I have, since I don't technically own that system, I just use my brother's Xbox lol).

And personally, I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but I don't think their new games are all that bad, except for Grabbed By The Ghoulies (that game was really bad, lol).

Hey, there IS a Banjo Kazooie game in the works for DS... <_<

Sadly, I think it'll be just a port of the first one, but with new Minigames added into the mix.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
I don't see the problem. PD0 was a disappointment, Kameo was ok.

Who in the world said that Rare was even making sequals to Banjo, Killer Instinct, Jet force, etc? They haven't shown anything at E3, so why the hell do you care? For all we know these franchises may NEVER get a sequal.

Well, I don't think we NEED Rare now anyways. What have they brought to the Xbox line?

There was that Grabbed by the Ghoulies, which I heard sucked, and Conker:Live and Loaded, which is a remake. And Perfect Dark Zero, I hear is nowhere good as the original, and Kameo is pretty much just ok. Not nearly as good as their Nintendo days, huh?

Nintendo can't do that without Rare's permission, as they are owned by Microsoft. We'll probably be seeing that on Xbox Live arcade one day, as with Sonic.
