Rate My 2v2 team

Hi, here Im again...
First of all, sorry if this isnt the right place to ask for tips about 2v2 batlle, but i couldnt find a better place to post it...



Ok, but here are my ideias...

I was thinking about make a 2v2 battle with something like this:



Slaking
Nature Adamant
Leftovers


Yawn
Focus Punch
Earthquake
Rest


Xatu
ability early bird
Nature ??
Item ??

Skill swap
drill peck
psychic
hp special



Ok, thats kind of my thought:

Skill Swap of Xatu will alow slaking to be a normal pkmn.. after that i will put traunt in one of my foe's team...
Yawn of slaking will put onw of them to sleep...
So, after a few turns, my foes team are gonna have some troubles to attack...

Once i change slaking's traunt with xatu's early bird, ill be able do use rest on slaking faster than normal...
And i also choose Xatu to be slaking's partner cuz since it is a flying pkmn, i can use slaking's earthquake and my other pkmn will not be hurt (lugia can not be used on contets here e no other flying type learn skill swap...well, buterfly does...but i wont use it)

Let me go on, since one of my foes is gonna be sleeping and the other one with traunt, its easy to use focus punch in any of them...

Guess thats pretty much all i that i thought untill now...


So what do you think?
Is this a good strategy?
Should I replace xatu for another pkmn with skill swap?


And im not sure about how to use evs points (in bouth pkmns) nor what item to give to each one of them...

Well the fact that you have two topics is understandable due to forum hiccups, etc...double posting, however, is a different story lol

And that's not much of a team...you really need 3 (for BF), 4 (Collo, XD), or 6 pokemon (in-game, link, etc) for a team..

That being said, Skill Swap + Slaking is a useful combo, especially when you get Rest+Early Bird.

Slaking - Yawn + Focus Punch just doesn't seem like a good idea in 2v2 since both opponents pretty much have to be immobilized...which won't happen very often if Xatu gets taken out before it can Skill Swap with the opponent (Xatu needs to stay alive for 3 turns in order to pull this off..). I'd go for Return and Shadow Ball over those two moves so that you can hit everything and you make use of STAB. If you really want to use Focus Punch, I'd suggest getting a 3rd teammate with Follow Me (Togetic comes to mind) so you can Follow-Punch.

Xatu - Replace Drill Peck with Calm Mind/Wish/Light Screen so that it can either take out physical walls or pseudo-pass Wish to a teammate who needs recovery. Light Screen could be helpful for Slaking.

A 2v2 team can make good use of an Exploder too. So keep that in mind as you come up with some other team members.

Thats a team for only 2 versus 2 pkmns battle with game link..
You know? Like those battles we have with that reporter and the camera-man at the game...


At that battle, we only use two pkmns against another two pkmns...
Only this...
there isnt another one to change...


An i know xatu must still alive until at least three turns...
thats where ill use slakings yawn, to put the most dangeros pkmns about xatu to sleep...

And create a wall is a good thing to do with xatu, but he only has psychic as a special move, so i would really like since i dont know what is comin on...

2 vs. 2 battles are hard and fast. Explosions and Earthquakes are everywhere.

If you can’t set up quickly, your opponents will attack or set up before you, which basically means instant defeat.

You are already taking a big risk by using the Skill Swap Slaking strategy. It basically means you have no chance against first-turn Exploders.
And the Skill Swapper you are using is frail and weak to many types…there’s a high chance that Xatu will be KOed during the first turn, leaving Slaking alone to face two opponents. Now Dusclops and Gengar, those are much better choices.

Yawn…yeah right. Sleep moves need to be instant in 2 vs. 2. Might as well replace it with Shadow Ball.

Some things you can do in 2v2:

Gyarados + Lightningrod
Ghost Type + Explosion
Weather teams eg something with Rain Dance and then Ludicolo, Kingdra etc.
