I might note here that there is a heavy Special presence here, so once Rhydon gets knocked out and some special wall comes in, you're done for. In other words, you need a physical presence.

Double Team and Flash are not worth it. Also, pelase post items next time, and train your team up a bit. Training is good

I'm not to good at move sets, but Gorebyss doesn't need Whirlpool and Leer on Xatu needs to be gotten rid of. I am in the exact same place as you on my Emerald, 4 badges and heading toward my fifth. Good luck!

I like Timid Sceptile, and maybe Curse/Swords Dance on Rhydon.

Sceptile needs the SAtk. boost from Modest (+SAtk., -Atk.). It already has enough Spd. to get around InGame without anything threatening it if it doesn't have Timid (+Spd., -Atk.).
