Venusaur doesn't work as well as other Sunnybeamers since it doesn't have Chlorophyll.. I say stick with what you've got, maybe with Leech Seed as an option over Synthesis.

yeh the only really good sunny beamers out there IMO are exeggutor, shiftry and vileplume. There are probably others, but these ones just stuck in my head

Rapid Spin isn't too great in-game since moves like Leech Seed and Spikes are quite rare.
