This is my current team; I'd like suggestions for improvement, and feel free to rate it. Just don't suggest switching team members - I like it this way

Mew

~ Psychic - Mew's strongest attacks
~ Thunderbolt - For surrounding enemys
~ Flamethrower - Long-range purposes
~ Bullet Seed - For enemys lined up

Jirachi

~ Psychic - Jirachi's strongest attack
~ Thunderbolt - For surrounding enemys
~ Shadow Ball - Long-range purposes
~ Water Pusle - Jirachi's weak against fire

Mew is pretty good.10/10

Jirachi maybe change Tunderbolt to Shock wave.9/10

I agree with Mew 10/10

But with Jirachi I disagree. Sure Shock Wave has a long range (I used it myslef) but Thunderbolt is far superior in both PMD and the RPGs. In this case, what if you're stuck in a Monster House? Surrounded by up to 8 enemies all within a 1 square distance and you Shock Wave or Thunderbolt. Shock Wave sure may kill 1 of them but Thunderbolt will blow all 2-8 apart. Shock Wave is better when picking off foes but Thunderbolt is much more versatile. Also if training a weak Pokemon at Team Hydro, a Pokemon with Thunderbolt takes 1 step right and then Thunderbolts for a OHKO (At a high level obviously). So I give the Jirachi a 10/10 It'd be 100/10 if Jirachi had the nickname "Zaraze" :) Because everybody knows Zaraze is the strongest Pokemon (Yeah a Pokemon species known as Human lol)

For mew, bulletseed should handle any long range purposes.

Btw, how does shockwave behave in this game? People seem to recommend it more than thunderbolt for some reason.

The same as Ice Beam and Hydro Pump. It shoots along the room (Until it hits something) and it's an Electric version of Ice Beam. I perfer Thunderbolt because if you and Mew get pinned in a Monster House Thunder bolt is the key to success. And since Thunderbolt seems (For me at last) to have a 99.9% chance of missing 1 of the few Pokemon I use it on (1 in 4 always survive) a 2nd Thunderbolt to back it up is great. And any Pokemon inbetween Jirachi and Mew will get double struck by Thunderbolt so even a pesky Flygon would go down.

Basic:

Shockwave
9 PP
Range: Straight Line (Cuts corners)
A long range electrical attack (Like Ice Beam)
Example:
E------U
U=User
E=Enemy
Will go across the room until it hits a wall or a Pokemon. Will hit targets even around corners.

Thunderbolt
10 PP
Range: All foe within a 1 square radius (Cuts corners)
An Electric attack that hits all foe next to the user (Any foe next to the Pokemon in any direction)
Example:
EEE
EUE
EEE
U=User
E=Enemy
Any Pokemon next the user (See E/U diagram) will get hit even around corners.

I see. For a moment there I thought it hurt everything in the room like Powder snow.
