    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
    Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

    We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

Terra the Torterra. Part of its name and terra means earth in latin and i mostly use ground type moves with Terra (EQ).

Dos the Gyarados. Very unimaginative but it is a part of its name and i called it dos cause it was my second magikarp and dos means two in spanish.

The Brain the Alakazam. The pokédex say's its brain is huge so there is some connection. Also it matches my next pokemon.

Pinky the Scizor. Familiar? Pinky and The Brain. Always the ones who go out in double battle's plus Pinky is a physical attacker and The Brain is a special. Pinky as in pink has no connection for Scizor's color so dont connect the color.

L-Bow the Gallade. Wanted something clever and something that has a connection to the pokemon itself in this case its couse Gallade has rather big elbows and to say el you say L so i put it together and got a fun combination.

Battery the Elctivire. You can easily see the connection here right?

Garchomp: Samehada (Means Shark Skin in Japanese, it's a shark like sword in the Naruto World owned by a shark like swordsman called Kisame, fits him really well)
Scizor: Arcbeetle (A red and powerful robot in an anime called Medabots it was really cool just like scizor)
Ludicolo: Poncho! (Mexican name)
Electivire: Megawat
Dragonite: Kairyu (Japanese name)
Shiny Luxray: Rinnegan (Because it's eyes looks like the Rinnegan from Naruto)
Shiny Machamp: Hulk
Shiny Umbreon: Tsukuyomi (Moon Phase an ultiamte jutsu from Itachi in Naruto)
Shiftry: Jiraiya (Same pose same hair same shoes damn)
Empoleon: Big Z (The legendary surfin penguin from Surf's Up the movie) I was thinkin on Tank Evans but I dunno

Yuci - 5/10 Original, but I don't think it fits an Empoleon well. Maybe if more was added to it?
Sandi - 8/10 Not very original, but fits a Lopunny well. :)
Yeigou - 10/10 Original name that looks interesting too.
Esdi - 7.5/10 Again, unique name. A little "soft" for a hardy Rampardos, but I like your style.
Uii - 2/10 Very strange sounding and looking. I don't think it fits a majestic Miltoic at all!
Muny - Cute as a Munchlax but It'll be a Snorlax so... 6.5/10 Still good as a Snorlax name, still fits, but not the best.
Cei - 4/10 Again, I like the creative direction, but a simple name doesn't fit a legendary dragon. If the name were more complex then yes.
Ri - Remember its not a Riolu you're naming (unless its a Little Cup Pokemon) its a Lucario you're ultimately naming. In this case 7/10 A sharp name like this works great with a fighting, regal Lucario.
Mattress - Is it female? Ok if female, still a really weird name...lol. Uh, 5/10? I almost didn't rate this though haha.
Mekiu - 10/10 Fits it perfect!
Yora - 10/10!
Tuye - 10/10!
Paperclips - 1/10 Just...no. :x Things as names (like mattress) not to good usually.
Bahamut - 10/10 Great muscly name for this dragon.
Wiggles, ImAFairy - 1/10
Aeon - Cool name for a cool (hot?) Pokemon.
Un - 1/10 Just doesn't work for a majestic legendary bird. Sounds bad, looks weird.
Deux - 1/10 Same as above, (since its ultimately a cooling looking "Do")
Trois - 2/10 Looks nice, but doesn't sound great.
(Yes I get the 1, 2, 3)
Risg - 4/10 Interesting, but the flow of the name just can't get pulled off.
Celeste - 9/10 Great nickname, but for a Rotom? Sure.
Aeth - 6.5/10 Looks cool, but the "th" kinda ruins it. Its dull for a sharp Pokemon!
Auque - 9.5/10 Nice.
Aerre - 9.5

Salamance-Lance - 8/10 A little cliche, but works ok here.
Giratina-Fearmonger - 2/10 Not great as a name itself.

Ni (Torterra-M) 1/10 Two letters names don't work well, espcially for a mighty Torterra. Looks simple, sounds to simple.
Sturm (Staraptor-M) 3/10 Original, but sounds too "ugly" for a speedy bird.
Zelda (Floatzel-F) 10/10 Great nickname, fits it well.
Spike (Jolteon-M) 7.5/10 Cliche, but works.
Damien (Houndoom-M) 8/10 Fits Houndoom well, a little to human, maybe if it was changed slightly it would be perfect.
Alice (Mismagius-F) 9/10 Human again, but the mystique of the name works along with it.

Emerald:
Reed (Sceptile-M) 10/10 Great nickname that fits what Sceptile is.
Nami (Pelipper-F) 7/10 "Thin" sounding name for a bulky Pelipper, but original.
Belle (Gardevoir-F 8.5/10 Great nickname, just a little to cliche.
Gatsby (Hariyama-M) 10/10 Great burly name, book reference!
Larxene (Manectric-F) 10/10 Creative

Zero Jager - Shinx[F] - Zero is good for [Luxray], but as you have it, 1/10.
Mastodon - Mamoswine[M] 2/10 "don" makes it sound too much like a Pokemon name, rather than an nickname.

Nightmare - Rapidash[F] I see what you did thar. Buut, cliche nickname and Rapidash is very sunny. 3/10

Because you have a reason to name them the way you do, I'll just rate the team as a whole. Very unique, but looking at them as Pokemon and teammates rather than fighting things, not very good except for Xolotl. The capital "X" is very off-putting at the end too. Most sound good (silent X assuming) Kudos to the uniqueness though. As a whole: 5.5/10
