• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I need help:

I've reached Sky Pillar, now I am ready to catch Rayquaza. However, I do not know what type of nature is the best suited for Rayquaza. What is the best nature for Rayquaza?

If you're just catching it with Ultra Balls, it's going to be very difficult to save in front of it and reset several times for the perfect nature. You should still save in front of it anyway in case you fail at capturing it.

Just tell us what nature you get, and we'll help you make a moveset based on your nature.

adamant or jolly for physical and modest or timid for special reyquaza. thats the best nature but yeah as yo shee suggested catching rayquaza is really hard so choosing its nature is adding on to the difficulty of rayquaza catching. it is not worth the try(since it cant be used in emerald's battle frontier) but you can try if you feel that you are patient

Yeah, he's diverse enough that the nature really depends on what moves you choose to use.

I caught Rayquaza with a Great Ball (with HP FULL), but that is probably because he used Rest (which made him fall asleep).

I might as well catch what I got. I might reset my game later on, to get a Rayquaza with Adament Nature (a lot of resetting for me!).

My Rayquaza (right now) has mild nature. What is the preffered move set for it???

Oh and thanks for your help!

Honestly, Nature doesn't mean anything. Sure, it might have some really obscure rarity value, but it's not important in the end.

Use a special set. Thunderbolt, ice beam, fire blast, dragon claw/crunch is a good place to start.

Actually a good natured Rayquaza compared to a bad natured Rayquaza is the difference of about 70-80 stat points in an attack stat. So yeah, it is important in the end.

Yep, Nidogod is correct, Natures can have a very big impact on your Pokemon's stats. The difference might be small on lower levels since the stats are low, but the difference becomes a lot on higher levels since the stats are higher.

About the Quaza, since it is Mild, a Mixed one is good.

Honestly, Nature does mean something. It increase one stat by 10% and decreases one by 10%. 10% of a stat is a lot. In the end Nature is one of the most important aspects of a Pokemon.

Since you Rayquaza is mild, therefore it increase Sp. Attack the poster above me has a pretty good set. D-Claw will be you primary move with Crunch/Flamethrower for type coverage and Extreme Speed to finish things off.

Boltbeam will be an asset on a special set. If anything, crunch is the least important option.
