Real Pokémon trainers

    Real Pokémon trainers exist in Japan. The only difference is that they do not train Pokémons, but dogs.

    Just like Pokémons, these dogs are trained to fight by their masters so that they can compete and win the local championships. It is a huge local event and families go to watch the battles while having a good time.

    They care for the dogs and just like in Pokémon, the dogs only rarely die in battle (whining counts as a submission loss) and they take great care of their health and well-being outside of the battle. Likewise, just like in Pokémon, the champions are met with huge respect for their accomplishment, similar to Pokémons Hall of Fame.
