Wow, I think he looks great! =D I like the way you drew him with his tongue sticking out, that way he looks more like a real dog. And I really like the shading by his chest! But maybe, to improve it you could do a little more with the background? The plants by his feet look good, but the sky above him looks a little blank..

That looks really cool but it's feet are missing and lil_skitty is right about the background it is a little plain maybe make it a night with some other pokemon in the back of it.

this is great... better than something that i could ever do... but as pointed earlier, it is missing feet, and the teeth arent that huge, but other than that, it looks great... i especially like the tail

He's cute.. Nice designing and all.
I like the background, I think it suits the image though yes.. the sky could use with some more depth, another shade of blue tossed in as well or something.
The brown from his muzzle going down the neck should start travelling to the center of the collar bone, not stay on the side like that, you'd think someone's chopped his head off and stuck it on a different body facing the other way. Your tail is -massive-. A bit too thick at the base and much too long.. at least when it's that thick. He needs some feet too, but I can understand chopping them off, feet can be annoying.
Overall a lovely design and concept and well done.
