i'v seen a few vids of some pokemon tornaments on youtube. most of them feature snorlax using selfdestruct... but if you go here, http://serebii.net/pokedex-rs/143.shtml there is no way snorlax can learn selfdestruct, not tm, not by level up no eggs... an explanation??

Snorlax learned Selfdestruct in RBY by TM, and that was tradeable to GSC. Then, he could not learn it in this generation until XD came out. He learnt by a move tutor, and he is tradeable back to the other 3rd gen. games.

And Snorlax with Selfdestruct is the strongest move in the whole of the game (but in DP it will be beruberuto with Explosion iirc). So, if you dont want people to call you a n00b, then dont say Selfdestruct Snorlax (aka Boomlax) is bad. Its probably one of the best Pokemon in the game...

There isn't.
The only move tutor in silph co. teaches thunder wave, but there are a guy on mt. ember that teaches you explosion.

I'm guessing REALLY high base stats, not to mention the Curselax method.
Think about it. Selfdestruct is the second most powerful move in the whole game. Not to mention maxing out the attack curse, maximum attack STAT (With natures, EVs, etc.), not to mention if it was holding an attack-boosting berry. Other than Aruseus magically learning it, i'm guessing that is the most powerful attack there is.
