Record Mixing Trouble

I couldn't find an answer for this.
So as I was going through my boxes, I noticed that my level 100 Lanturn, which I raised from an egg has this written in her summary: Modest nature, lv5 PACIFDLOG TOWN (met), while it should say (EGG) !!! And I found another one of my pokemon (one of my useless dratinis) that has the same problem.I have no idea what is this, and since I mixed records with a few people, could it be that one of them had a glitch on his/her cartridge and transferred it to mine? Or maybe the problem is that I received a Scyther, which was quite in order (or so I thought), until I noticed that it was caught with a Repeat Ball which, of course is impossible? (I released it)

While this glitch in itself is not causing me any problems in terms of gameplay, it's just disturbing :/ I think I'll have to start over my Ruby for real now

When a Pokemon hatches from an egg, it says that it is met in the place where it hatched. The Scyther though does sound suspicious, so maybe that one was sharked from another game.

And by the way...Dratini's are not useless. >:O

i found out when you trade a pokemon and then trade it back the egg part dissapears.....did you trade it by any chance?

and the scyther....it might not have been sharked, but i dont know about that one

Hmm ok, I just checked my game, and I do realize that I was wrong. When you hatch a Pokemon it says the city it was hatched in and it does say EGG in parenthases. My apologies.

Anyway, something could be up with your game, and maybe it is some sort of glitch. If you ever traded with someone who has used a Gameshark or other cheating device, there always is that chance that it could possibly mess up your game entirely, or mess up something as small as the EGG/MET mess up. Goes to show that you have to be careful with the people you trade with.

I know they are not useless, but I hatched 3 boxes of them to find the perfect one I want to use, and this dratini is one of those who reside in the PC :3

What silver says is possible tho..I'll have to check if I traded it forth and back between colosseum...

And since I don't have Fire Red I just wanted to complete my pokédex..and everything seemed in order, but you can't catch pokemons in Safari Zone with Repeat Balls but it gets me, I mean the fact that you cheat to have a pokemon which is already in your game O_O

You can catch Scyther with a Repeat Ball on XD. But if it was traded before XD came out, it was sharked.
About the Egg part, I have no idea what it caused.
