Is it possible to recruit shiftry and cradily from their mazes? The guidebook says yes, but I don't know.

Not as far as I know. My guidebook says that final evolutions won't join you no matter what. The farther along they are in the evolution line, the less likely they are to join you, for that matter.

Nope you cannot but you can recruit nuzleaf and then evolve it.

@[Paper Snow] : Actually there are some final evolved Pokemon that are possible to recruit but are obviously at a negative percent chance

EDIT : You can recruit Shiftry.

Actually, its very possible to recruit wild Shiftry in Buried Relic, just really hard seeing as how it has a negative recruit rate

Hence why I said "as far as I know". I was wondering if first stage-final evolutions (like Cradily) had a chance, but I'm pretty sure that second stage-final evolutions (like Shiftry) didn't. Then again, I haven't been paying much attention to recruitment rate. xD

As far as my guidebook is concerned, you're able to recruit anything from the Rescue Teams Hydro, Constrictor, Shiftry, and Rumblerock in Makuhita Dojo, though for most of them (except Graveler and Nuzleaf) you need to be at least lv. 90 AND have a Friend Bow.

you can't recruit pokemon from the Makuhita Dojo unfortunaly

Actually, you can, but only the bosses of the "Team ______ ", and if you have it, the Rescue Team Maze
