In S/G/C Lance came back, then in R/S/E they took him away. I think it would be awesome if Lance came back, cuz his pokemon were at lv. 50 and higher in y/b/r, and in s/g/c his pokemon were between 50 and 60, overall he was a good champion. wat do u think? do u think he will come back? and if he does wat lv?

The Kanto/Johto Elite 4 seemed to be the same thing. Just two members left, Koga got promoted, and two new ones arrived.

The Hoenn Elite 4 seemed to be a totally seperate organization, hence the all new-members. If D/P has it's own E4 too, I doubt we'll see Lance.

I doubt they'll bring back any old game characters for that matter.

I would like to see brendan and may in the game, I mean like after the leugue in a place thats like the Battle frontier, they would be challengers although this will not happen.
But I think lance will not come, and I am fed up of him anyway.

I beleive D/P will take place at the same time as G/S/C so no, Lance will be busy in the G/S/C elite 4.

Anyways, I don't think Lance will make an appearance, b/c I believe he is strictly a Kanto/Johto native so he will stay in those 2 regions. The reason why Lance wasn't in RSE is because Hoenn is very far from where Lance stays at and plus we have Drake.

New game should mean, new characters, new storylines, new plots etc.

I do not think Lance will be back. He had his moments. If anything, I personally think that Steven would be back as an E4 member, and even thats not gonna happen, but, i'd bet on that rather than Lance comming back

I really don't want to see any previous charachters from Kanto because we've just had friggin' Fr/Lg. Hoenn didn't have that many memorable characters so it's not worth taking up plot lines over them. I'm completely open to new experiences and characters right about now.

Although some people may not agree with I might say but I would love to see Lance being the new Champion and Steven Stone in second place right after Lance. I would be cool to see May and Ash in the game too as in the anime stile to battle them and everything. May the contest Master and Ash the Battle Frontier Master or something alse if I have in mind.

I don't think any of the old characters will make appearances, except maybe Giovanni, because his location was never revealed.
But I do think we'll get backstory on a couple of characters, probably Gym Leaders.

Even though it would be nice to see Lance or Brendan or anyone else again, its doubtful that we'll see em again. We only saw rby characters in gsc because kanto and johto are joined together.

In the g/s/c games you had to go through johto and kanto. so maybe in these new games you go through the new region and hoenn so its possible Steven couldbe in the new games

Exactly what I forgot to say. I think that a lot of previous characters will be referenced to similar to the way Fr/Lg did it, through cameos and old notes or magazines.

...Cuz in s/g/c after u fought the elite 4 and got all 16 badges u went fought ash (red) then u saw the ending credits. so do u think that after u beat the elite 4 (and maybe another 8 gyms i hope) u could go in a cave and fight brendan, then beat the game or could it be a double battle with brendan and may?

Hm, that's an interesting idea, actually. Perhaps Brendan will come back, and you fight him in some random cave, or he lives in a town that you can only access after the Elite Four, and then he shows you some things .. and you battle with him .. and stuff. [/run-on-sentence]

I think that's highly likely, but unfortunately you couldn't battle Silver/Gold or Crystal in R/S/E, so I don't know. I sure would like a high level battle at the end of the game.
