Ash will get both Mega Sceptile and Mega Charizard Y and the haters won't be able to tolerate it.
They're a huge part of Gen VI and will demand a lot of promotion
Which they've already received without Ash having one and they can still receive more promo in the future by having other trainers showcase them. I don't see why Ash must use Mega Evolutions for that purpose when they've already had great representation in the anime thus far. :x
Because he's the main character. It would be BS if he didn't get one.
Yes, because him being the main character gives him first dibs on impressive accomplishments every single time without fail; remind me, how many official Leagues has he won?

Tbh, I find the hype surrounding Megas to be unbearable as it is; I don't want Ash to be as hyped as well.
Will is a strong word. I think there is a high possibility of him Mega-Evolving Charizard but I won't say he will do it. The writers could chooses to shill Ash out of Mega-Evolving. Or he could Mega-Evolve Sceptile to promote ORAS, Mega-Evolve Heracross because why not, or they could have Gible fully evolve then Mega-Evolve if they wanted. And there is always the chance that some more Kalos Pokemon get Mega-forms.He will Mega Evolve Charizard

It's always happened. mainly every people hate trainer ash. To my knowledge, ash is probably one of the only main character in animation history portrayed as underdog loser with no canon accomplishment (OL and BF are filler) after so many episodes (maybe the only one for a show exceeding 100 episodes, ash is currently the biggest main character loser of the entire japanimation history). He won't last long in the league this time if his opponents are packing mega's I mean with the amount of discussion put into Korrina's MegaLucario now, you think it'll get better as time goes on?
Even if his team develops to the point where they can take down a mega, it would still likely take half or most of the team to do it, and that will cost Ash.
They can't keep him as an underdog forever, I know people love to think that by facing mega's it keeps with the status quo, but unless he has one himself to counter them by the league, he will lose yet again, and I don't know how much longer people are going to tolerate watching a loser.
not to mention unlike legendary pokemon this is something Ash can obtain, if the writers don't let him take the chance, then he will never succeed.
I'm assuming the bolded is about the Grant match?Because there was nothing DEM about that.He just applied his training onto an attack that was somewhat similar.Plus it wasn't dancing,he was using Iron Tail and jumping from one to another. It's always happened. mainly every people hate trainer ash. time to the writers allowing ash shine (i'am boring of that loser kicked out by dumb/newb trainers and win battle by unreallistic DEM like OHKO a freaking fresh serperior with electric move or dansing on a meteor rain shots)

It wasn't shown to move at supersonic speed was it?It'speed is pretty slow also when you see it fall down.If it was really moving at the speed of a real meteor that move would be ridiculously OP.And since Pikachu is extremely fast it could jump on it.It's same, he jump on a freaking meteor rain. the shots are impredictable and incredibly fast (it's meteor move, so it's close to supersonique), try to jump one multiple supersonique rocks. jumping on rock tomb can go, but jumping on the most power dragon move? no, i say bullsh*t. maybe a little chance after decades (yay decadeS, so 20years at least) of training, but a couple of days or on a whim in the battle, it's a NOOOOOOOOOOO.
So, see pokemon origin, everyone prefer to see someone who win when it's important, that someone lose all the time.
Not exactly happy with the idea of all 3 of the Kalos Trio getting Megas. It'd feel like they would be overdoing it at that point.
NO IT CAN'T HAPPEN. ASH DOESN'T HAVE THE MEGA RING, DOESN'T HAVE A MEGA STONE AND DOESN'T KNOW WHICH POKEMON HAVE THE ABILITY TO MEGA EVOLVE.
When Ash finds the stone, it isn't going to say: "I'm Heracrossite!", Ash is just going to say he found a shiny rock, but wouldn't have a clue that it has any relation to the Heracross-species at all.
All of this spells unlikely over the whole debacle, but hey.. PLOTz.
How about this:
Tierno, Shauna and Trevor showcase MC-Y, M-Saur and M-B'toise. Ash at some point near the end receives a packet, or simply finds a piece of Sceptilite. Serena gets Treecko as her Hoenn starter. Ash uses Mega Sceptile a few times against high-level opponents, such as the such and aforementioned and Alan. Before he leaves to go to another region, he gives Serena the Sceptilite for when the time comes that her Treecko has become a Sceptile.
In case they abandon the Mega Evolution mechanic in further generations, this would seem to work fine in my eyes.
I'd too, but at least give them the starter with the stones as in the games.. Not all of them need to reach their final stages. I could see Trevor not fully evolving his Charmander for example.. What if Shauna doesn't get involved in the League business? We wouldn't have all three of their Mega's centered at one place, which would be the best outcome.
