U pplz remember the many rumours that ppl made up. Cuz me and my friends where having a discussion about the many rumours. I remember one in the Red/Blue series, where you go to your house after u beat the elite four like 100 times. And u go to your house and apparently your mom dies and PikaAsh/Pikachu in Ash's Clothes is there and some other nonsense.

I remember something concerning Pikablu (aka Marill) in the colour gens.

There was one simple who was:
when you first get in the safari zone, go surf in the nearest water pond, and fish everywhere. If you're lucky, you might find Pikablu.

The other one was much more complicated. I'm not sure it's exactly like that, but it's something along the line:
First, you have to have a pikachu, a water stone and have beaten the elite four without having lost one simgle time in the whole game. Then, when your game reaches 100 h 00 min 00 sec, at that moment use your water stone on your pikachu, and it will evolve into pikablu.
I think there was some nonsense with having a stone of each, melting them all together to get one superstone and using it to evolve pikachu into pikablu, but I'm not sure.

I remembered the rumor about getting Mew in crystal. You purposely lose on Karen and go to Daisy and she'll give you an egg that holds mew O_O''''

And there was a rumor my friend made up about going to lapras' cave on monday (in Silver) and you would become a lapras and you could ferry people across the seas for money.

I made up a rumor on a cheat code website about beating the elite four (in GSC) then red then elite four again than red again etc. 50 times and then when you went to battle red the 51st time you would find Tony Hawk and he would ask to trade your bike for a skateboard. If you said yes, you got a skateboard which goes faster and gives you 100 dollars for each step you take on it. If you said no then he would steal all of your pokemon and money and items and badges and pokegear and pokedex and everything else that you had and he would save the game and he would run off. Then he would runf off. Then the screen would go black and it would say Game Over in red letters. The weird part is that people voted that it worked.

There are a ton of fake hints and cheats, including people claiming that you can find shiny pokemon by going to a certain route and looking around. For example I remember seeing something like this:

Surf around the water behind the winstrate family's house and you will find a green marill.

Although this is possible, you could find a green (shiny) marill on any route that it appears on, randomly. The same goes with every other wild pokemon. I also remember hearing ridiculous codes for something called pokégods back when red and blue first came out. As long as there are n00bs to pokémon, fake codes like these will always appear.

Yeah! I was just thinkin about that cheat. I just remember the part about your mom dying, and it seems like Prof. Oak would be there too, or something, like maybe he killed your mom... I dunno, lol. But yes, those were good times... classic rumors too, although a lot are just plain stupid, its still fun to read about'em.

I remeber back when i first started playing pokemon blue i tried out every stupid rumor about how to get pikablu or the pokegods.Nowadays when i look back on the good ol days of pikablu and the pokegods i can't help laugh at how stupid i was to actually beleive those rumors.

beat the elite four 100 times with a level 100 execute and talk to professer oak and he'll give you togepi.
show bill his favorite pokemon to go to his secret garden.
once bill is in the teleporter leave and your at his garden.

I heard a stupid rumour...You train a riechu(sp?) to level 99 and leave it at the daycare for 8 hours. When you go back to get it, the daycare amn will say that it ran away and he'd give you a pikablu/Marill.

First of all!Go to the Space Center in Mossdeep city and talk to the scientist looking out the window.He will tell you how many rockets have beened launched sucessfully.If it is 100 rockets or more that have been launched you go on the next one(rockets are launched every week).You will go into space and battle Jirachi.

and THAT is the most prolific "cheat" i've ever seen. i visit a website swarmed with newbies and the cheat keeps popping up everywhere. i have to tell them its wrong at least once a week.

The only pokegod i remeber was called Nidogod.The fake cheat to get it involved somehow fusing nidoqueen and nidoking together.I can't remeber the exact cheat because i saw it along time ago.

1. If you buy the Magikarp for 500yen from that dude in the pkmn center and name it MEW then it will become one.
False! Tried this along time ago, don't work.
2.In Red/blue: if you surf to the right before you enter S.S.Anne there will be a truck there, inside there will be a strong trainer girl. If you defeat her you'll get Mew.
False! Or well... I tried it in yellow so... There IS a truck but nothing else...
3.If you win agenst the elitefour 50 times Prof.Oak will get tierd when he's leading you through that room where he'll show you that hall of fame thing, and you can walk away in that room and find mew.
Who knows?? I never tried. Don't sound very right though...

Here are some I've heard;

1)In G/S/C, arrange your Party Pokémon Unown to be C,E,L,E,B,I. Then, go to Kurt and you will get a GS Ball. Place the GS Ball on the Celebi Shrine and Celebi will attack.

2)In G/S/C, push A around the walls of Blue's Gym (including the boxes,) and soon enough the walls would weaken, and you would be taken to a secret room, where a lady would ask you for Lemonade. Give it to her, and you would face a series of tough trainers, leading up to Oak. Beat Oak, then he will clone you, and you will have to face yourself. Win, and then you receive 99 Thief Balls, which steal opponents' Pokémon.

Pretty weird.

I remember something concerning Ho-oh and the truck... I think it was something like this:
"when you've got Mew at the truck, Go back there another time and you will find a pokeball containing the gold bird (that was the colour times before the metal gens, so they referred to Ho-oh as the gold bird, as Ho-oh didn't have a name yet)"

And then there was this glitch city that actually exists, but you supposedly could catch mew there...

And I remember one where you were supposed to leave a raichu at the day-care (colour gens) and when you've beaten the game, come back and your Raichu will have an egg containing Mew... Or maybe it was that your Raichu had morphed into Mew.. can't remember.

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot about the Unown cheats. Anyway, the ones I heard were:
- catch all the unowns, and then put them in your team so that it spells CELEBI, and the researcher (I think) will give you celebi. Put them in MBALL order, and he will give you a masterball..

Talk to one of the guards surrounding Saffron City 1000 times and he will give you Doomsay (Houndour), Bruno, and Dofunyan (Donphan). Then he will tell you that they are sympathy presents because your mother died. Go back to pallet and your mother will be on the ground. There will be a pokemon next to her called Pikaish. Fight Pikaish and if you catch it, your mother will be alive. If you don't then you can fight the ghost of your mother. Then, on the table will be Mewtwo's sister, Mewsta and a new updated Pokedex.

Use the item finder in front of Bills house. You'll find a bottle in the river with a note in it. It say's something about Pikablu.

After catching Mewtwo in the unknown dungeon, look around and fight a lot of Pokemon and you will run into mew.

Go to Bill's house with these pokemon in this order. Dratini,Dragonair, Dragonite,Articuno,Zapdos,Moltres, and he will let you into his garden.

Go to Bill's house with Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Mew, and Mewtwo and he will give you Togepi and let you into his cave and his garden.

To find Pikablu(a blue pikachu)you must talk to mr. physcic(the guy who gives you Physcic tm) and then go to the waters around Cerulean city constintly hitting the A button. You should find a ball with a note in it speaking of a pokemon referred to as pikablu. It will say the location of it as well.

here is two secret islands that you can get to. One is where you find a guy's lost keys and he'll take you to a secret island. The other is don't go to the SS Anne trade a pokemon with a friend that knows cut and then skip it later on you'll know surf. Then you can go back and surf to the right before you get on the SS Anne. Surf to the right and you'll get to an island and there's a truck there. Use strength to move it and there is a pokeball there with mew in it. Supposedly there are god pokemon on the island too

This secret you will like. There is a cave in safari zone. GO to the house with SURF and talk to the guy(you must have all 5hm's with you). Talk to the guy and he will ask you for all 5hm's(make sure u teach it to the pokemon you need because you wont have it after you give him it. He will open a door behind him and walk out of the house. Go to the door and you will finally see Jesse and James!! talk to them and they will say''What are you doing here brat!! We are trying to find the Dragon pokemon. It is unidentified!!'' then they will fight you. After the battle, they will run out of safari zone and you will hear this roar. Go to the cave and catch all the dragon pokemon there is!! At the end of the cave, which is only straight ahead, there will be a dragon that is unidentified. Catch it and it will follow you beacause it is too big to be in a pokeball. It comes with one move which is BREATH BURN, the most powerful attack of all attacks!! (CAN KILL LV100 POKEMON WITH ONE HIT!!). It is level 100 when you catch it.
