REPOST: "Pokémon: Intensity" - Season 7 (Rated TV-14) (FINAL SEASON)

And here we are again at the final season of "Intensity". As much as some people want me to write more seasons, I can't maintain this level of quality for 22 post-marriage episodes. So enjoy this one - and look on the bright side; after this, I still got all my scripts to repost.

“I Know Who You Did Last Season”
Episode 6ACP20
Original Airdate: 9/18/09
Guest Voice: Stephen Colbert as Armond Mitsumune

Left alone in his apartment after Misty walked out on him, Ash laments to Pikachu that he has no idea what to do. Now that Misty believes Ash is sleeping with May, she will never take him back, and will undoubtedly spread the story around. But Pikachu confirms his alliance to Ash, claiming that he will always believe his side of the story. With at least one friend left, Ash decides to set out and get Misty back. Unfortunately, he has no idea where Misty has gone, and with Gary, Brock, and Max all against him at this point, he has no choice but to search for her the hard way. He theorizes that she may have returned to the Cerulean City Gym and makes the journey. Sure enough, he finds her there, but Violet, Lily, and Daisy refuse to let him in to see her. Misty wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Crushed inside, Ash sadly returns to Pallet Town to seek advice from Delia, Oak, and Tracey. The best Delia and Oak can say is that if Misty truly trusts Ash, she will return on her own. But Tracey encourages Ash to try and win her back by proving his innocence. Ash takes this advice to heart and approaches Misty outright, but Misty doesn’t want to hear it. Ash instead goes to the source of his problem – May, who has just returned from the hospital. He demands that she tell Misty the truth, but May refuses, insisting that she finally has a boyfriend that can’t leave him for another girl. Ash’s life is soon made worse by May’s constant calling him, trying to arrange dates. She eventually begins following him to work. While May is walking home behind him one day, Ash can’t take it anymore and punches May in the nose. She stumbles backwards into the road and is hit by a car, winding up back in the hospital. Everyone who witnessed the act believes it was a murder attempt, and soon, even Ash’s few remaining friends do not trust him. Delia gives him the cold shoulder, and even Pikachu can’t look Ash in the eye. Now a broken, friendless shell of a man, Ash once more returns to the Cerulean Gym to tell Misty that he has no reason to continue living, then drives away somberly. Several hours later, Misty sees a news report on TV – Ash is atop the Goldenrod Radio Tower, ready to jump. May also sees the story and realizes what she’s done. She calls up Misty and admits the whole truth, and a frantic Misty immediately sets off to the tower to prevent it. Among the crowd below the suicidal Ash, Misty calls out her heartfelt apology to him. Realizing that the one woman he truly loves has returned to him, Ash climbs down and rushes to Misty for an apologetic, passionate kiss. Shortly after, Ash reconciles with his friends, and Misty assures everyone that her engagement to Ash is back on.

Episode 6ACP17
Original Airdate: 9/25/09

To signify the 20th anniversary of Jessie, James, and Meowth’s enrollment in Team Rocket, Giovanni gives the trio a pair of universal walkie-talkies. They use the gadgets to communicate during their next mission when they split up to infiltrate a bank from the front and rear entrances. After several more missions, they become addicted to the things and even use them outside of work in place of their cellphones. Though they show no decline in the quality of their work, Giovanni worries that the devices may become a hindrance soon. To see just how devoted they are to their assignments, Giovanni tests Jessie and James’ mettle by sending them on a practice mission of Class A caliber. Determined to prove that they are ready for their promotion, they willingly take the job of breaking into a Petalburg City home and stealing the resident’s wealthy possessions. But afterwards, the police investigate the crime scene and find Meowth’s walkie-talkie in the bushes outside the house. Figuring that it could be a clue, Officer Jenny takes it back to the station. On her way, she hears the signals coming from Jessie and James’ walkie-talkies, revealing where they are headed on their next mission. Finally having the jump on Team Rocket agents for once, Jenny holds on to the device and uses it as radar to see if Team Rocket hits locally again. When she overhears that they are heading to Fuschia City for their next heist, she notifies the Fuschia police, who are waiting for Jessie and James when they arrive, Perplexed, the criminals turn their van around and flee, but the cops follow. James makes a sharp turn off the road into a forest to lose the police. Once out of sight, the three continue to run on foot, but Meowth gets separated. It is only when he tries to radio Jessie and James for help that he realizes his walkie-talkie is gone. Jenny catches up to him with the device and plans to have Meowth arrested, but her voice transmits over the walkie-talkie to Jessie and James, who follow the signal to Meowth and make their escape. Back at base, Jessie and James return their walkie-talkies to Giovanni.

“Four Weddings and a Wedding”
Episode 7ACP01
Original Airdate: 10/9/09
Guest Voice: Janeane Garofalo as Lisa

Ash and Misty have completely forgiven each other for their misunderstandings and have subsequently grown closer than ever. They eagerly anticipate their wedding, and their friends and relatives all offer their congratulations. Upon witnessing their blissful reunion, Brock, May, Tracey, and Misty’s sisters all begin to wonder whether or not they will ever get married. All six of them make the independent decision to find their soul mates within the next year. Brock begins getting more personal with his dates, and on one outing he meets a particularly attractive Nurse Joy with many of his same interests. They hit it off very well, and Brock agrees to see her again. May, still feeling guilty for starting the whole “Ash-Misty conflict” to begin with, decides to find a new boyfriend that she won’t harm emotionally. When the bar scene turns up empty, she joins a video-dating service out of desperation. Tracey has a particularly hard time finding a boyfriend, as the gay community in Kanto is not that massive. He manages to find one same-sex bar in the region, but his hopes fade when he sees that it’s a lesbian bar. On his way back to pallet, he meets Lisa, a woman whose date stood her up at the bar. He offers to drive her home, and the two build a friendship. Violet, Lily, and Daisy all hit the dating scene at once, eyeing the potential at the Slateport Beach. They meet a guy named Chris whome they are all equally attracted to, but they begin to argue when they try to claim him. Meanwhile, Brock grows ever closer to Joy, but when he asks her about the prospect of marriage, she acts repulsed by the idea of commitment. Realizing she’s not “the one”, Brock breaks it off. May gets no responses from her tapes and is heartbroken, and as a last resort she tries to get back together with Gary, but he explains that they just don’t click with each other anymore. Tracey and Lisa, though friendly, realize the awkawardness of having no sexual attraction to each other. The Waterflowers all compete for Chris’ affections, but he turns out to be married, much to their chagrin. When Ash and Misty learn of their friends’ hardships with love, they learn that their relationship is more special than they thought.

“Let ‘Em Bleed”
Episode 7ACP02
Original Airdate: 10/16/09

Jessie and James are overjoyed to learn that they are 50 missions away from their Class A promotion. During their next mission, they hide out in an alley to plot their moves, where they run into Butch and Cassidy, now beaten-down and homeless after being fired a year ago. Both of them are furious at Jessie and James for their good fortune, but the criminals ignore the threats and successfully pull off their mission. As Jessie and James drive back to base, Cassidy’s seething rage segues into insane hatred, and she and Butch vow to kill the two agents for everything they’ve done. They come up with the idea to hold Jessie and James hostage at their next mission and murder them there. Set with their plan, Butch and Cassidy set out to Viridian City, but on the way they are taken in to a homeless shelter against their will. When they try to escape, the head of the mission hears Cassidy’s rantings about killing Jessie and James and refers them to psychiatrist Vanessa Maehara. Maehara tries to ease Butch and Cassidy by telling them her past successes, such as curing Misty Waterflower of her fear of insects. Butch and Cassidy recognize Misty’s name and track her down to Ash’s apartment, but landlord Leonard recognizes their tattered Rocket outfits and throws them out. They shed the “R” overshirts and manage to stow away on the Goldenrod Magnet Train to Saffron City. By pure coincedence, Jessie and James are there on their next mission. Butch and Cassidy lock themselves, Jessie, and James in the bank vault they are raiding and take their guns. Fortunately, Meowth is left outside and manages to call Giovanni, who sends a mass of Rocket agents to Jessie and James’ aid. As a crazed Butch and Cassidy prepare to kill their rivals, the other Rockets burst in and save their colleagues, beating Butch and Cassidy to a pulp. When the cops arrive, the agents make a break for it, but Butch and Cassidy are arrested. More outraged than ever, they are placed in a maximum-security insane asylum, left to stew in their own hatred for six life sentences.

“Gone in 90 Minutes”
Episode 7ACP03
Original Airdate: 10/23/09

Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Togetic use a rainy weekend as an excuse to see a movie. They settle on seeing a highly hyped action movie, but ten minutes into the film, all four of them are insanely bored. By movie’s end, they all agree that it was a total waste of their time, and it appears to be the popular opinion among the moviegoers. Wanting to know who directed this junk, Ash scans the film’s movie poster and recognizes the name of director Cleavon Schpielbunk, the movie director that cast Misty’s Psyduck in a movie 20 years ago. Ash is so offended by the movie that he sends Schpielbunk a nasty e-mail, telling him everything that went wrong. Surprisingly, Ash gets a reply from the director. In actuality, Schpielbunk is being smothered in negative backlash from his recent movies and, in his opinion, has never directed anything good because he hasn’t listened to audience feedback. Inspired by Ash’s e-mail, Schpielbunk asks Ash and Misty to be test screeners for his next movie. Ash and Misty agree, figuring that if they give Schpielbunk enough advice, his next film won’t be so horrible. They travel to Schpielbunk’s new studio in Kyoto, where they witness the art of moviemaking on the soundstages. Schpielbunk encourages them to speak their mind about his next movie, an attempt at romantic comedy. So repulsed are they by the advance screening that Pikachu and Togetic secretly walk out to explore the studio at their leisure. Ash and Misty immediately advise Schpielbunk on what to do to improve the movie – reshoot the entire thing. Schpielbunk hires Ash and Misty as the screenwriters on the spot. Trying to come up with a good revised plot, Ash and Misty decide to make a movie loosely based on their own lives, from the first time they met to their engagement and impending wedding. After outlining the idea, Schpielbunk reviews it and loves it, making the two executive producers. But Pikachu and Togetic have been arrested by studio security for inadvertently destroying the master copy of another of the studio’s next major releases, and all four are banned from the premises. Ash deduces that Schpielbunk will just have to release the original movie and hope for the best. The movie ultimately bombs, ending Schpielbunk’s career.

“The Last Karate Kid”
Episode 7ACP04
Original Airdate: 11/6/09
Guest Voice: Alyson Hannigan as Janine

When Togetic tears Misty’s bridal fashion catalogue in half, Misty walks down the street to buy a replacement. On the way, she is yanked into an alleyway and mugged. The mugger swipes Misty’s purse and necklace and takes off. Shaken, Misty slowly makes her way back to the apartment, where she sadly tells Ash that she couldn’t defend herself in time. She has never known any form of self-defense beyond Pokémon training, and Ash suggests that she learn how to fight. Misty takes the suggestion to heart and settles on karate lessons. Trying to find a school at which she can learn from the top experts, she remembers Koga, the current member of the Elite Four who formerly owned the Fuschia City Gym. She sets off to the Indigo Plateau, where Koga agrees to begin training her in the ancient art of karate. She begins her lessons at Koga’s old gym, now under the joint ownership of Koga’s sister Aya and daughter Janine. Koga takes time off to mentor Misty personally, and after just a few weeks Misty shows a perfect grasp of the basics. Togetic, however, thinls Misty is trying to compensate for the fact that she can’t fight anyone without a Pokémon. To show her what karate is really about, Misty takes Togetic along on one of her lessons. Mesmerized by the agile movements and stealthy weaponry of the other students, Togetic demands to take lessons too. Koga agrees to place Togetic in the remedial classes, taught by Janine, but Togetic’s boundless energy soon results in her being transferred to the advanced class. Within a matter of months, both Misty and Togetic are advanced fighters. Ash is proud of Misty, but they soon realize what a mistake they’ve made by allowing Togetic to attend the classes. With her new knowledge of karate, Togetic combines her physical strength with her extreme cynicism to become a threat to everyone in the apartment. Misty takes her back to the gym, where Koga explains that karate is not to be used to bully people for no reason. Togetic refuses to listen, and Koga makes her a challenge – if he can beat her in a karate match, she must promise never to abuse her skills again. Togetic accepts, but before the battle even begins, Misty subdues Togetic and drags her to the Blackthorn City Move Deleter, who wipes her memory clean of her karate skills.

“Ash Versus The Volcano”
Episode 7ACP05
Original Airdate: 11/13/09

For his years of service as an assistant, Professor Oak gives Tracey three tickets for a tropical cruise. Tracey racks his brain for people he can take, and he invites Ash and Misty. Both of them are uneasy with the notion of spending a whole week with Tracey, but they relent, leaving Pikachu and Togetic under Oak’s care. Once on the ship, Ash and Misty at least look forward to spending quality time alone in their room, but Tracey announces that all three of them have the same sleeping quarters. After a lengthy journey, the cruise reaches its destination – Cinnabar Island. Tracey chooses their hotel for the week, and having never been to Cinnabar before, he selects the Big Riddle Inn, not knowing what goes on there. The hotel owner, gym leader Blaine, gives the three of them a room, once again prohibiting Ash and Misty from being alone. Back in Pallet Town, Pikachu enjoys conversing with the other captured Pokémon he knew before Ash got him, while Professor Oak devotes his time to finding out why Togetic is so apathetic. While Tracey is out sightseeing, Ash and Misty attempt to be alone in the inn’s hot spring, but Tracey returns and joins them. Ash has had enough and tries to tell Tracey to leave them to themselves, but before he can, Mt. Cinnabar begins rumbling and smoking. Blaine bursts into the hot spring and alerts them all that the volcano is on the verge of erupting. Ash, Misty, and Tracey quickly pack their things and make a break for the front desk, but the volcano’s explosion commences. To keep the lava flow back, Misty keeps her Golduck and Politoed busy by having them douse it, but it doesn’t do much good. Blaine leads them down to the main part of the village, where the island is currently being evacuated, but they get separated from Tracey. Realizing that he’s gone, Ash and Misty force their way back through the crowd to find Tracey. He is still locked in the bedroom at the inn, and the hotel has already begun to incinerate. Ash and Misty make their way back in through the hotel, kicking down the door and allowing Tracey to escape. Safely on the ship back to Kanto, Ash apologizes for what he almost said to Tracey. As a token of gratitude, Tracey gives Ash and Misty a cabin all to themselves on the way back home.

“Treasure of the Sierra Meow-dre”
Episode 7ACP06
Original Airdate: 11/27/09

A mere 40 missions away from promotion, Jessie and James begin to work harder than ever before. Meowth, however, is more eager to be promoted than either of them. He anticipates the certain pay raise that he’ll receive as a Class A Rocket, but Jessie and James tell him that the only way he’ll get there is if he participates more in the missions. Meowth realizes that he hasn’t been much of a help in the missions lately, primarily looking threatening with his shotgun while Jessie and James do much of the work. Meowth vows to prove himself as a Rocket. Upon their next mission, a bank robbery, Meowth fires the first shot and causes a great amount of damage, mortally wounding several security guards with a few slashes. Jessie and James commend Meowth for his brutal work, as does Giovanni. Meowth keeps up this trend for the next four missions as well, and Giovanni is incredibly pleased, knocking back the number of missions they need to 30. Jessie and James are overjoyed, but a new thought enters Meowth’s head – he could be promoted ahead of his partners if he tries hard enough. Imagining the prestige that would come as being the first Pokémon to achieve Class A on his own, he requests that Giovanni give him a few solo missions. This surprises Jessie and James, who always regarded Meowth as a comrade and an equal. But Giovanni notes that Meowth has improved as of late and probably deserves a solo mission. Upon receiving permission, Meowth kicks into high gear. He first hits a jewelry store, where he kills and injures several people in attendance and makes off with 40 shipments of valuable gems. After a few more robberies, Meowth is indeed ahead of Jessie and James, and gloats about it to their faces. Jessie and James are upset that their former partner is now their rival, and vow to find a way to get him back as a sidekick. Sure enough, James discovers that Meowth has been keeping goodly qualities of his stolen loot for himself. Reporting this behavior to Giovanni, Jessie and James soon have Meowth back as their partner. Meowth demands to know why the did that, but softens up when they explain that they just wanted to work with him again like before.

“Won’t Get Screwed Again”
Episode 7ACP08
Original Airdate: 12/11/09

Ash notices how much Pikachu has been itching recently. Soon, he finds himself itching too, and Misty and Togetic are also affected. Taking Pikachu to the Pokémon Center, Ash is shocked to learn that Pikachu has developed fleas. Nurse Joy gives Ash the proper instructions for cleaning Pikachu, and outfits Pikachu with a flea collar and paper cone. Meanwhile, Ash’s apartment must be fumigated to wipe out the bugs. Ash learns that the process takes a week, and during that time all four of them need another place to live. When Ash alerts Delia of his dilemma, she allows him and Misty to come to her house for the week. Back in Pallet Town, Ash and Misty find that Ash’s old room has already been made up as a guest room for them – a room with two beds. Ash suddenly remembers that he hasn’t told Delia that neither he nor Misty are virgins anymore. But he can’t bring himself to do so and decides to put up with sleeping separately from Misty for a few days. Meanwhile, Pikachu is going out of his mind in agony from not being able to scratch and having to put up with flea baths every day, but Ash assures him that it won’t be this way much longer. Nonetheless, Pikachu has Togetic scratch his itches for him, and sure enough, Togetic catches fleas too. While Delia takes Togetic to Professor Oak for another prescription, Ash and Misty are left alone to watch Pikachu. Misty suggests they take this opportunity to get intimate again. Ash leaps at the suggestion, pushing the two guest room beds together. Sure enough, Delia comes home early and walks in on them. Ash tries to explain, but Delia is in too much shock. During the next few days, Ash notices that Delia is barely talking to him. He feels awful for not telling Delia sooner, and Misty helps him muster up the courage to talk to her. On their last day, Ash sits Delia down and apologizes for everything. Delia forgives him, and all four return to Goldenrod with a feeling of ease – Ash and Misty for no longer having to hide their lack of virginity, and Pikachu and Togetic for overcoming their fleas.

“I, Lobot’”
Episode 7ACP07
Original Airdate: 12/18/09

Delia decides to host a dinner party and invites Ash, Misty, and their friends. Pikachu has no qualms with coming along, but naturally Togetic is against any kind of social interaction. Misty tells her to cooperate for once. At the party, things go fairly well, as Togetic primarily keeps to herself in the living room. But when Delia asks her to join the others at the table, Togetic embarrasses Misty deeply by pitching around her cynical opinions. When Delia tries to refute Togetic, it sends her into an opinionated, profanity-laced rant. Misty is forced to take her raving Togetic home. Finally pushed to the limit concerning Togetic’s attitude, Misty vehemently tells Togetic to get her act together or she’ll be released into the wild once and for all. Ash thinks Misty is being too harsh, but Misty secretly tells Ash that she’s only bluffing to get Togetic to behave. Unfortunately, this plan backfires, as it has always been Togetic’s dream to be released for good, and she begins acting up more than ever. Fuming mad, Misty takes Togetic to Professor Oak, begging him to come up with a way to make Togetic normal. Oak takes Togetic for a few days to study and analyze her behavior and mindset. After scrutinizing Togetic’s activity, Oak determines that Togetic suffers from a complex in which she believes that she is still an independent being. Under Misty’s ownership, Togetic feels as if her independence is being attacked at every moment. Misty asks if there’s any way to remove this feature for good. Oak informs her that one of his colleagues, Professor Westwood in Fuschia City, has devised a way to effectively alter a Pokémon’s behavior. Ash and Misty drive to Fuschia, where Westwood hooks Togetic up to his massive computer and reprograms her brain, completely writing out her apathy and cynicism. Togetic emerges from the reversal as a kind and considerate Pokémon, much like Pikachu was in his younger years. Misty is thrilled with this new development and can now take Togetic out in public without running the risk of embarrassment. But after a few weeks, Togetic’s niceness becomes unbearable – she tries to influence everyone in the house to follow her pure-of-heart routine. Unable to stand Togetic’s sickeningly sweet tactics, Misty takes Togetic back to Westwood to have the process reversed. Togetic is apathetic again, but Misty decides not to try and interfere with Togetic’s behavior to avoid conflict.

“Lifestyles of the Screwed-Over and Famous”
Episode 7ACP10
Original Airdate: 1/8/10
Guest Voice: Ben Stein as William Komatsu

Ash has been under constant stress at work from Al. To vent his frustration, he draws a goofy little manga comic that features himself as a samurai warrior beating Al to bits. He leaves it on the kitchen table where Misty picks it up and reads it. She finds it hilarious, and so do Pikachu and Togetic. Ash keeps the cartoon and draws more of them in his spare time. Eventually it blossoms into a series, which Ash calls “Samurai Satoshi”. He photocopies it and sends it to all his friends, who find it uproariously funny. Later that week, Ash reads of a manga convention at the Goldenrod Convention Center where acclaimed manga artist William Komatsu will be signing copies of his latest compilation book. Being a fan of Komatsu’s work, Ash takes Misty and the Pokémon to the convention. There, he meets Komatsu firsthand and shows him a sample “Samurai Satoshi” comic. But Komatsu dismisses it as a futile attempt. Depressed, Ash heads home, but realizes that he left his comic behind at Komatsu’s booth. When he returns to the convention, the comic is gone. A month later, Ash is appalled to hear that Komatsu has come out with a new manga that bears an uncanny resemblance to “Samurai Satoshi”. Outraged that Komatsu stole his idea, Ash confronts the artist and demands that he either stop the new series or give him credit for inventing it. Komatsu refuses to do either, and Ash files a lawsuit against him. Despite Ash’s testimony, Komatsu claims that he invented the entire concept, and with his persuasive arguments, he is found innocent. Ash ultimately decides that there is nothing to do but try and take pleasure in the fact that his idea is successful. Eventually, the manga is found by Al, who finds it humorous and buys a copy for himself. When he shows it to Ash, he learns that Komatsu stole the idea. Ash fears that Al will be upset that he drew the insulting comic in the first place, but instead Al vows to get Ash justice. He calls the police and tells them that he has witnessed Ash’s work and can prove that he invented “Samurai Satoshi”. When the police invade Komatsu’s studio, they find Ash’s original drawing that dates back to before Komatsu claims he came up with the idea. Komatsu is forced to discontinue his series and pay Ash royalties for stealing his idea. Ash takes the money and buys a complete set of Komatsu’s books for Al in thanks for helping him.

“Misty’s Night Out”
Episode 7ACP09
Original Airdate: 1/15/10

Ash wants to take Misty out for a night of theater, but Al extends his working hours until 8:00 PM each night, leaving him no time to do anything with Misty. Needing something to do while Ash works overtime, Misty hangs out in May’s apartment one evening. The two girls have a friendly conversation, reminiscing about their past adventures with Ash and discussing their social lives. On this point, Misty laments that she rarely does anything fun, despite her engagement to Ash. May suggests that the two of them go out for a night of entertainment. Misty agrees. She leaves Ash a note on the apartment door telling him where she went, and the two girls set out for an evening of fun. Misty is unsure where to go, but May directs her to one of her favorite party spots, a nightclub located atop one of Goldenrod’s tallest buildings. Meanwhile, Togetic decides to play a prank on Ash by removing Misty’s note before he can read it. When Ash gets home, he asks Togetic where Misty went, and Togetic insists that she doesn’t know. Worried, Ash takes Pikachu and sets out into the city to find her. At the nightclub, Misty primarily stays at the bar while May plays the field on the dance floor. May soon introduces Misty to Nick, a man who she just met while dancing. Though May tries to put the moves on Nick, he finds himself more attracted to Misty. Nervous about being out so late, Misty keeps her hands in her pockets, inadvertently concealing her engagement ring. Back on the street, Ash looks around for Misty to no avail. Pikachu theorizes that she might have gone to the gym to see her sisters about something, and Ash drives off towards Cerulean City. Upon getting there, he is distraught to see that the gym is closed, and on the way back to Goldenrod, his car runs out of gas. He calls May to pick him up, and when she does, she tells him where Misty is. Meanwhile, Nick takes Misty to the nightclub’s outdoor pool area. As Misty takes her hand out of her pocket, her engagement ring pops off and bounces into the pool. When Nick tries to kiss Misty, she shoves him away, insisting that she’s engaged, but Nick points out that she has no ring. Shocked, she dives into the pool to retrieve it, but can’t see clearly underwater and must feel around for it. As she does, she runs out of oxygen and blacks out, but Ash has arrived and dives in to rescue her. Misty thanks Ash for saving her, and the two return home, where Togetic is grounded for her prank.

“One Flew Over the Yoo-Hoo’s Nest”
Episode 7ACP11
Original Airdate: 2/5/10
Guest Voice: James Woods as Sandshrew

When Togetic asks to stay up until two AM to watch a movie on TV, Misty refuses. Togetic gets increasingly more irate as the argument escalates and eventually snaps completely, grabbing Ash’s beer bottle and throwing it at Misty’s head. Ash takes Misty to the hospital, where he learns that she’s suffered a minor concussion and must be confined to her hospital bed for a week. Back home, Ash gives Togetic the most severe lecture she’s ever gotten in her life, but Togetic threatens Ash with violence too. Ash realizes that there must be some kind of motivation behind Togetic’s behavior and to find out what it is, he takes her to a psychiatrist. Dr. Lionel Urawa, who specializes in Pokémon with awkward behavior, sits Togetic down and tries to determine why she acts so rebellious and angry all the time. Togetic decides to screw with her results and gives Dr. Urawa a bunch of false information. After three more days of sessions, Dr. Urawa presents Ash with the results – Togetic is criminally insane. When Togetic finds out that she is to be taken to a specialized institution, she realizes that her inconsiderate pranks have gone too far this time and tries to make a break for it, but she is tranquilized and recalled to a Poké Ball. When she awakens, Togetic is shocked to see that she is in a kennel for mentally unbalanced Pokémon. When Misty gets out of the hospital, she and Ash go down to the kennel and plead to have Togetic released, but the warden insists that she is too much of a menace to be returned to her trainer. During her rehabilitation sessions, Togetic continually screams that she’s not supposed to be in the kennel, which only heightens the guards’ suspicions. Finally, Togetic takes it into her own hands to attack the guards and break out, but she is caught and contained again. The warden agrees that Togetic is far too violent to be kept in the kennel any longer and green-lights her euthanization. Togetic is terrified as she is strapped to a table and a man approaches her with a syringe, but Ash and Misty burst in and stop the process. Misty insists that Togetic is not insane, and backs up Togetic’s claims that she made up her answers to the psychiatrist’s questions. Convinced, the warden allows Togetic to be released back to Misty.

As soon as they know they are safe, they carefully make their way back to the main road. But Jessie and James notice the multitude of vendors at the beach and decide to steal a little something for themselves. James comes across a booth run by a grizzled man who sells Magikarp in golden Poké Balls, claiming that they are the greatest fish known to man. James notices a distinct feeling of deja vu – then remembers that this is the same man who sold him the Magikarp that evolved and nearly killed him aboard the S.S. Anne 20 years ago. Having always wanted revenge, James whips out his gun and blasts apart all the man’s merchandise, but the vendor makes a break for it. James and Jessie hop back in the van and give chase, but the vendor gets away. Back at base, James finds himself obsessed with the idea of tracking the vendor down and making him pay for what he did, but Jessie and Meowth point out that he can’t get sidetracked when they are only 20 missions away from promotion. But James is unfazed. He sneaks into the Team Rocket operations room, where the organization has files on all the businesspeople and families they rob, and looks up the vendor’s file. As it turns out, he runs the kiosk in Slateport full time, stocking up at the Lake of Rage and making millions of yen by duping people. James vows to end the vendor’s reign of dishonesty once and for all, but Meowth notes that if he does, he’ll actually be doing good. James is faced with a moral dilemma – he has always supported the Team Rocket rule of not helping anyone other than a fellow agent, but he still yearns to make the vendor squirm for his deeds. Ultimately, James manages to infiltrate the Rocket mission distribution center and assign himself and Jessie to the Slateport Bank again. A confused Giovanni sends the two on the mission, and after its completion they once again break for the beach. This time, James steers the van into the beach kiosks, leading the cops on a wild chase among the booths. Finally, he locates the vendor’s booth and drives headlong into it, destroying it and mortally wounding the vendor. Back at base, Giovanni commends Jessie and James for their success, and Meowth commends James for killing two birds with one stone, per se.

“Something Flamboyant This Way Comes”
Episode 7ACP13
Original Airdate: 2/19/10

After enjoying a night of Kabuki Theater, Ash and Misty run into Tracey, who had been in the audience as well. Ash notes that Tracey has never expressed an interest in kabuki before, and Tracey jokes that he needs something to do on Fridays since he still hasn’t found a boyfriend. Ash believes that Tracey is truly depressed about the minor homosexual community in the Johto regions, but Tracey admits that he hasn’t been focusing on his romance life and insists that his job has priority. Nonetheless, Ash and Misty make it their mission to find Tracey a boyfriend to make up for their years of uneasiness about his lifestyle choice. Ash asks Al if he knows anyone who might befit Tracey’s personality, but Al misinterprets Ash’s motives and thinks that Ash is gay. Subsequently, Al starts finding hints of homosexual behavior in Ash’s daily work routine, but it’s primarily psychosomatic. Meanwhile, Misty takes Tracey to the Goldenrod Tea Shop, Book Store, and every other social outpost she knows in the hopes of finding one gay man for Tracey to talk to. Ultimately, she comes up dry, and Tracey admits that he’d be better off working for Professor Oak instead of wasting his time. Misty feels horrible about making Tracey feel bad and expresses her concern to May. May then suggests that it may be easier to turn Tracey straight again rather than look for men in the Johto, Kanto, and Hoenn regions. Though she is only joking, Misty takes the idea to heart. Meanwhile, Ash insists to Al that he isn’t gay, but Al’s suspicions are not quelled. Instead, he stays away from Ash and focuses on the achievements of the other bike shop employees. In Kanto, Misty takes Tracey on a one-week vacation from his duties at Oak’s lab to have Ash show him how to act “straight”. They claim that they just want to bond and make up for their longtime estrangement as friends, but Tracey eventually uncovers their ulterior motives. It is then that he’s introduced to May, who admits that her joke was misconstrued by Misty. Tracey explains that he has no desire to find a boyfriend yet. Ash and Misty apologize, but Ash claims that he has one more man for Tracey to meet. He takes Tracey to the bike shop, where he explains to Al that Tracey is gay, not him.

A mere 15 missions away from Class A, Jessie and James perform their next attack, a heist at the Lavaridge Town Bank, with precision. But when the cops give chase, Jessie and James make a quick turn in their van to lose them – only to find that what they thought was a three-way intersection was actually the wide driveway to the Lavaridge Health Spa. Desperate to find a hiding place, Jessie, James, and Meowth dive into the spa’s hot spring until the police leave. They emerge from the spring and dash off into the woods to change into dry clothing. It is only when they return to base that they realize they left their guns behind in the forest. Jessie and James are distraught, and they can’t return to Lavaridge due to the heightened security watch that their robbery incited. Giovanni agrees to get them replacement guns, and until the five-day waiting period is up, Jessie and James must complete their missions using only their Pokémon. This proves to be easier said than done, as Seviper, Cacturne, Arbok, Weezing, Umbreon, Dustox, Wobbuffet, and Chimecho are easily subdued by bank and jewelry store security during each heist. Jessie and James’ number of remaining missions hovers at 14, as they can’t pull a successful robbery without their guns. Realizing how dependent they have become on firearms, and still three days away from getting their replacements, Jessie and James vow to make their Pokémon teams strong enough to assist in their crimes. Getting a hookup from a fellow Rocket agent who is manning a drug ring, Jessie and James hop their Pokémon up on steroids. It proves to be a worthy investment, as the monsters are more vicious than ever before. But once they get down to 10 missions remaining, Giovanni announces that their replacement guns are now available. With the new firearms, Jessie and James explain to their teams that their services won’t be needed as much anymore. But the steroid-addled Pokémon won’t stand for it. In a devious plan, Seviper and Cacturne sneak out of their Poké Balls one night while Jessie and James are on the road for their next mission and throw the new guns out the van doors. Outraged, Jessie and James retrieve the guns, but Cacturne and Seviper demand that they and the other Pokémon be used more often. Realizing their neglect, Jessie and James agree to allow their Pokémon more participation in future missions.

She readily accepts, and the two of them hit it off very well on their date. But after a few more outings together, Brock begins to realize that Flannery may be too perky for his tastes. On every date, her boisterous and peppy personality proves to be a hindrance, often causing people to stare. Brock doesn’t want to let Flannery down, however, since she seems so happy in the relationship. But after one public embarrassment too many, Brock announces to Flannery that they have to stop seeing each other. Flannery seems to take this in stride, but once she’s back home, she finds it harder to concentrate in her gym battles. She approaches Brock at his gym and begs for one more date, but Brock insists that they’re through. Despite Brock’s dismissal of the challenge, Flannery sends out her Torkoal for the fight, but in her distracted state she has fed it far too much Charcoal, and one exhalation sets Brock’s office on fire. Flannery panics and tries to have her Torkoal fight the flames, but it only makes matters worse. Brock’s Swampert and Ludicolo manage to subdue the blaze, but not before it destroys his entire office. Flannery is distraught over the damage she’s caused, but Brock tells her not to worry. Flannery decides that she and Brock don’t belong together and agrees to leave him alone.

“Don’t Knocker ‘Till You Tried Her”
Episode 7ACP15
Original Airdate: 3/26/10

Only 9 missions away from promotion, Giovanni whets Jessie and James’ appetites with a pay increase for each of them. Jessie knows exactly what to do with her money. Lately, she has feared that James may be losing interest in her. She notes the other attractive female agents on the Rocket organization and figures out what they all have in common – a double-D chest size. Tired of her 36C, Jessie decides to put her pay raise to good use and get breast implants. Acknowledging that she won’t be able to enter a surgery clinic as a Rocket agent, she takes the weekend off, during which time James can’t take any missions. But Jessie assures him that her “surprise” will be worth it. Disguised as a civilian, Jessie eagerly goes in to the Viridian Cosmetic Center for her alterations and comes out with her chest a full cup size larger. Upon returning to base, Jessie gets a new top to her uniform, one with a zipper and no undershirt, and shows her surprise to James and Meowth, who are both astonished beyond words. James loves what Jessie has done, and Jessie is confident that James will never lose interest in her. During their last day off, Jessie and James celebrate this new addition with a night of passion, but upon return to work, Jessie’s bust size proves to be a bit of a hindrance. On her missions, Jessie purposely leaves her top unzipped to show her victims that she means business, but James is constantly distracted by Jessie’s bulging cleavage and can’t keep his mind on his heists. When the quality of James’ progress reports reflect this development, Giovanni tells James to get his act together or take his missions with someone else. When James finds that he can’t tear his eyes away from his wife’s breasts whenever he and Jessie are in the same room together, he reluctantly requests to be teamed up with another agent. Giovanni puts James to work with Kathleen Shiratsuchi, a Class B agent with barely any chest at all. Jessie fears that her worst dreams have come true – James may be tempted to leave her for Kathleen. At this, she voices her fears to James in the break room, where James assures her that he loves her for her personality, not just her body. Relieved, Jessie has her implants removed, and she and James are reunited as a team.

“The Many Loves of Misty Waterflower”
Episode 7ACP17
Original Airdate: 4/2/10

Ash and Misty finally set a date for their wedding, planning it for the end of the next month. They also agree to hold the wedding in Pallet Town, where they can invite virtually everyone they know. With the event planned out, Misty arranges a bridal shower. Ash is uneasy about the forthcoming shower, knowing that Misty’s sisters, whom he’s never gotten along with very well, will be there. But on the day of the event, Violet, Lily, and Daisy turn out to be the least of Ash’s concerns. An uninvited guest shows up – none other than former Orange Islands Gym Leader Rudy, who had tried to persuade Misty to stay on his island with him 19 years ago. Wondering what in the world such an obscure person from his past is doing at his fiancée’s bridal shower, Ash asks Rudy to leave, but Rudy must talk to Misty first. He claims that he is still in love with her and has been trying to track her down ever since she left the island. Misty politely informs him that she is engaged to be married next month, and Ash hastily shows Rudy the door. Nonetheless, Rudy is unfazed. Days later, Ash is shocked to see that Al has hired Rudy as a new employee of the bike shop. It is then that Ash learns that Rudy has moved to Goldenrod City and will not leave without Misty. During his lunch break, Ash takes Rudy into the back alley and informs him that Misty is not up for grabs, and that he will be in a world of hurt if he tries to take her from him. Rudy subsequently quits his job at the bike shop, but instead moves on to pestering Misty while Ash is at work, sending her all kinds of gifts ranging from flowers to singing telegrams. Fed up, Misty files for a restraining order against Rudy, but as she and Ash prepare to leave the building to have it filed, Rudy accosts them in the hall. He forcibly grabs Misty and tries to kidnap her, but Ash is too quick, sending forth Pikachu and Pidgeot to take the ex-gym leader down. Misty calls the police, who arrest Rudy immediately, but Rudy vows to get Misty back someday. Misty is not too concerned, but Ash promises that if Rudy ever tries to steal his wife from him, he’ll beat the living tar out of him personally.

“No Big Woof”
Episode 7ACP18
Original Airdate: 4/16/10
Guest Voice: Frank Welker as Bubbles

As the wedding date draws ever closer, Misty begins to speculate what her married life will be like. When she brings up the prospect of having kids, Ash claims that he would make a fine father, since he can already care for his Pokémon. Misty insists that raising a child is different, and Ash starts to realize what a hassle parenthood might be. He theorizes that a dog might be easier to care for, and Misty expresses her interest in that idea too, having always wanted a dog as a kid. To make his fiancée happy, Ash decides to get her the childhood pet she always wanted as an early wedding gift. At the Goldenrod Pet Store, he peruses the multitude of options, and manages to find one authentic Labrador Retriever among the masses of Growlithe and Houndoom the store mostly sells. Misty is overjoyed, and she lovingly names the dog Bubbles, despite Ash’s objections to such a feminine name for a boy dog. But Pikachu and Togetic are less enthused by this new addition to the family. In their eyes, Bubbles is no fun to be around, as he lacks the Pokémon ability to communicate with humans through thoughts. After several days, Togetic notices that Misty is lavishing more attention on Bubbles than she is on her Pokémon. To fix this, Togetic rallies Golduck, Corsola, Starmie, Politoed, and Kingdra together in an attempt to oust Bubbles from the apartment. When Bubbles races through the apartment to avoid the prospect of a bath, Togetic and the other Pokémon usher him out the apartment door and down to the street. Outraged that her Pokémon would do such a thing, Misty grounds her entire team for a week as she sets out to look for her dog. Locked inside their Poké Balls, the Pokémon unanimously agree that what they did was low – except Togetic, who can’t bring herself to apologize for anything. Upon finding Bubbles and bringing her back home, Misty has a talk with her Pokémon, where Togetic insists that Bubbles is only going to strengthen the wedge that already exists between them. Realizing that Togetic is right, Misty tells Ash that a dog wouldn’t work in a home with Pokémon. Both trainers reluctantly give Bubbles to the animal shelter, and Pikachu remarks that if they can’t handle a dog, he shudders to think what’ll happen when they have kids.

“The Wedding Will Not Be Televised”
Episode 7ACP19
Original Airdate: 4/23/10
Guest Voice: Sarah Gilbert as Kelly Nakamura

With only a month remaining before their wedding, Ash and Misty begin to experience the stress of planning such an event. Misty has to send her wedding dress back twice because the bridal shop screws up her order. Ash finds that he can’t book an open-air chapel like he’d planned. As the amount of misfires begins to pile up, Ash and Misty seek for an easier way to bring their wedding together on time. May informs them of a TV show she watches called “Wedding Tales”, where a TV crew videotapes the planning and culmination of a wedding as assisted by professional wedding planners. Desperate to have their workload reduced, Ash and Misty eagerly fill out forms to be on the show. Their letters of acceptance arrive shortly after, and the camera crew is soon knocking on their door. The host of the show, perky Kelly Nakamura, eagerly informs Ash and Misty that the show will provide everything they need. Taken on location to Pallet Town, where the wedding will occur, Ash and Misty invite Delia, Tracey, and Professor Oak to watch the episode as it is filmed. At first, it seems to be quite beneficial, as the hired wedding planners successfully clear such hurdles as getting Misty’s dress order correct and booking an open-air chapel like they wanted. But before long, the show begins to get intrusive. Cameras are always in Ash’s face while he attempts to order the catering and flower arrangements by phone, and Misty can’t do anything involving the invitations without it being criticized by Nakamura and her co-hosts. Even more stressed than they were before they joined the show, Ash and Misty politely inform Nakamura to back off and let them handle certain matters. Nakamura agrees, but on the next day of filming, the crew pesters Ash and Misty even more. Snooping around the show’s mobile trailer, Pikachu and Togetic find the show’s main objectives for each episode and show them to Ash and Misty – who are horrified to see that the number one rule is “the more stressful the contestants, the better the ratings”. Outraged, Ash and Misty withdraw themselves from the show, resolving to band together to plan their wedding on their own.

“The Decline and Fall of the Rocket Empire”
Episode 7ACP20
Original Airdate: 5/7/10
Guest Voice: Stephen Colbert as Armond Mitsumune

In the days before his wedding, Ash takes one last look at the life of Pokémon training he willingly gave up for Misty, and finds his Hoenn league PokéDex. Wanting to hang on to it, he secretly keeps it in the pocket of his overshirt. Meanwhile, Jessie, James, and Meowth polish off their last five missions with extra flair. Their waiting is finally over, as Giovanni calls them into his office and promotes all three of them to Class A, the highest rank for any Team Rocket agent. Upon giving them their new jet-black uniforms, Giovanni informs them that they picked the right time to be promoted, as a great event in Rocket history will happen that night. Indeed, hours later, Giovanni rallies together all the Rockets based at Viridian City and informs them that tonight, he plans to show Japan just how powerful Team Rocket has become in the last fourteen years. All Team Rocket agents are sent out on a mission of terror, robbing innocent families’ homes and destroying property. Jessie and James take this opportunity to inflict revenge on everyone that ever defeated them when they first joined Team Rocket. They first hit Professor Oak’s lab in Pallet Town, tying up Oak and Tracey and destroying a goodly amount of their equipment and research. Next, they head out to Goldenrod City to nail Ash and Misty. When Ash and Misty see a news report on the wave of Rocket destruction sweeping through the three regions, they, along with Pikachu and Togetic, make a break for the back door of the building to escape. But Rocket agents are already swarming the streets. Ash and the others manage to evade the bullets and make it to their car. Speeding off towards Pallet Town to take refuge at Delia’s house, Ash unknowingly passes Jessie and James’ van on the way out of town. The Rocket agents give chase, firing their guns at Ash’s rear windshield. Ash, insisting Misty and Togetic stay in the car and keep low, must take refuge at the Viridian City Pokémon Center, planning to use the PC to get the strongest members of his team, but Jessie and James follow him in. To pay him back for all the times he beat them, James shoots Ash in the chest – but the bullet lodges itself in Ash’s PokéDex, saving him. Outraged, Jessie, James, and Meowth cut loose, firing at random, but Ash and Pikachu hide behind the front desk. From the car, Misty calls the police, and an Officer Jenny soon arrives – the Officer Jenny that employs the Squirtle Squad, many of which have evolved by now. One Blastoise recognizes Ash’s voice and bursts into the building, where Ash recognizes it as his former Squirtle, now fully evolved. Ash sends out Venusaur and Charizard, and with Pikachu’s assistance, all four of them give Jessie, James, and Meowth the beating of a lifetime. Jenny places the three agents under arrest, but they vow that Giovanni will bust them out – until they learn that Giovanni has already been found out and fled the country, officially disbanding Team Rocket. Relieved, Ash, Misty, and the Pokémon continue on to Pallet Town, but not before Blastoise announces to Officer Jenny that he is returning to Ash’s team.

“I Now Pronounce You Unemployed”
Episode 7ACP21
Original Airdate: 5/14/10

With only a week remaining before the wedding, Ash and Misty are as excited as ever. Upon completing their invitations, they send them out to everyone, and Ash decides to give Al his invitation personally at work. Upon arriving at the bike shop the next day, Ash finds Al in a state of despair. Al explains that the bike shop has been making less and less money for the past year, but he hasn’t told his employees about it. Now, income is so low that Al has been forced to close up shop and reopen in the northern Hoenn region, laying off all his current employees. Despite the hardships, Al assures Ash that he’ll come to the wedding, but Ash is more concerned about how he’ll make his living after the wedding. The bike shop will, however, remain open for the remainder of the week, during which time Ash will have to search for another job. But there is still the more pressing matter of arranging the wedding. Ash tells Misty of this dilemma, and Misty assures Ash that she can employ Pikachu and Togetic to help her with the wedding planning, while he finds a new job. Grateful, Ash sets out around Goldenrod and searches for good employers. His search takes him all the way to Violet City, where he meets up with gym leader Falkner. As it turns out, Falkner is looking for trainers to work part-time in his gym, and since Ash has at least two very strong Flying types on his team, he would be perfect for the job. Ash tries out for the position of Apprentice Trainer, and proves to be a very formidable opponent against Falkner himself. Unfortunately, when pitted against the challenging trainers, Ash inadvertently knocks out their entire teams with only one attack to each. Realizing that his Charizard and Pidgeot are far too advanced to take on beginning trainers, Ash resigns, deciding to look for gainful employment after the marriage.

“I Married Misty”
Episode 7ACP22
Original Airdate: 5/21/10

Only two days now remain before the wedding, and there is only one thing left to do – Ash must decide on a best man. He narrows it down to either Brock or Tracey, they being the two friends who accompanied him for the longest period of time on his Pokémon journey. Trying to pick between the two, Ash is surprised to see both of them – along with Richie, Gary, and Max – pay him a visit that evening. Upon promising Misty that they’ll have him back before midnight, the five men drag Ash and Pikachu out the door and down to the car, where they explain that they’re giving him a surprise bachelor party. At Kevin’s Bar and Grille, Ash notes that Brock is being the most amicable of all his friends. When Brock buys a round of drinks in honor of Ash, that settles Ash’s decision – he stands up and announces that Brock will be the best man at his wedding. Brock is honored, but Tracey is curious as to why Ash chose Brock over him. Ash explains that Brock has been his friend for the longest period of time and had assisted him in many of the most important parts of his journey. Tracey, being the sensitive man he is, suspects ulterior motives. Soon, Tracey believes that Ash turned him down just because of his homosexuality. Ash assures Tracey that this was not the case, but Tracey points out that Ash never had the same friendship with him that he did with anyone else. Ash insists that Tracey is blowing everything out of proportion, but Tracey stands by his accusations and decides not to go to Ash’s wedding at all. Not one to hold a grudge, Ash tries to talk Tracey out of it, but it is no use. Finally, the big day arrives. Ash and Misty arrive in Pallet at the open-air chapel and prepare for the wedding, but Ash is disappointed to see that Tracey is still not there. During the ceremony, Tracey suddenly pulls up, announcing that he had given the matter a lot of thought. After a long talk with Professor Oak, Tracey had realized that, in truth, he was in the wrong, inventing suspicions that didn’t exist. Ash thanks Tracey for forgiving him, and the ceremony finishes without any further problems. Finally joined in holy matrimony, Ash and Misty are surprised to see what Tracey has done for them – he hands them tickets for a one-week honeymoon in the Orange Islands. Grateful, Ash and Misty set off with their Pokémon in tow, ready to enjoy the rest of their lives together.
