Requiem: A Tragedy One-Shot Contest!

Not that I'm in charge of anything here, but I'm pretty sure the deadline for submissions is February 15th, so you still have time.


Assuming you're asking the same question I did (if not, then ignore me... XD), here's what they said:

I should just post those two chapters that made all those people cry xD but I dont think we're allowed to.

I have another idea anyways but is it okay if it is 'affiliated' with my fic? No prior knowledge of my fic is needed as it's a flashback for a future character, but he IS still a character in my fic.

Also, which person do I send the finished product to?

Should be ok, if no knowledge is needed, I'd say. Although he judges will need to clarrify that, I think it'll be ok...

And you send it to any of the judges, and they should send it to the others. There's more about it on the first page - PM's work, I'd say e-mail too.

I'm in this contest too - wasn't planning to, but when inspiration bites, and the story turns out to be tragic, and you then notice the competition... why not? Never tried tragedy before, so I can get my first 'attempt' judged!
...although when I first checked here, I *had* thought it said Jan, not Feb... silly me.

Correct, bob! We just need to be able to understand it without having read the story, which is why the fandom is limited to mainly Pokemon, Digimon and others - because not all of us read/watch the same things and wouldn't know what's going on.

Anyways...I think I have to withdrawal this contest. Midterms are coming and I have to focus on those. Also, I'll most likely be busy doing other work/university stuff (like reapplying for financial aid). I would have worked on my entry during my winter break but then decided my original idea wasn't going to work (wasn't able to kink out the plot holes I said earilier). I then have another idea I could use, but I don't think I'll be able to finish it on time because of my busy schedule. >.>

However, I look forward reading the entries when they are posted

Griff: As long as you like. There's no limit. However, there is such a thing as going overboard. Make it as long as you need to get a story done.

Well, originally I had no plans for entering (like I don't have enough fics going on right now), but for some reason an idea popped into my head and I went with it. So yes, I'm entering and should have mine submitted in the next day or so, or however long it takes to edit it right. Random note - I'm withdrawing my name from the entry. What with my current fic, planning for another to be released sometime towards the end of February, my habit of devoting WAY too much to Reviews, and to top it all off, S-C-H-O-O-L (also known as the Ninth Circle of Hell >_<), I'm simply not going to be able to swing a well-written tragedy. And I've never written a one-shot before, and it was very slow going, so it's probably for the best. Less stress for me.

And such a terrible loss for you poor judges. [/blatant sarcasm]

Anyways, maybe some other time, eh? Good luck to those who have managed to stick with it!

Umm.. I don't think we could accept that, it wouldn't be fair to the other entrants, so I'm going to say no. The other judges can comment about their preference on the matter, though. Still, you're perfectly free to write a new one.
