What exactly do you need for wi-fi connection at home? Besides the DS and a wi-fi game, of course. Someone told me that you can use wi-fi with dialup, as long as you have the Nintendo Wi-FI USB Connector, but i dont know if that's true.

No, you don't need a cable if you want to connect at your own house.
All you need after that is a wireless router. An example would be Linksys, that’s what I use.
