Having experienced some recent successes and disappointing failures in battle arena in attempts of getting another gold symbol, I have modified my team as follows:

impressive in abilities, flawless attack/speed

- Rock Slide
* focus band helped it survive a drill-pecking dodrio and a salamence in order to save my run.

Gardevoir, modest, trace, holding leftovers
impressive in abilities, flawless Sp.Att/speed/Sp.Def

* currently using return since I only have one move tutor left for double edge, needs to be jolly since adamant got OHKO'd by jolteon last time.

As an update, I have a 2 adamant slakings in training with flawless attack/speed. While focus punch is recommended on smogon mainly in the event of switches, but since the computer rarely switches and the pokemon usually attack, I was wondering if it is worth it to keep focus punch instead of aerial ace. I intend to raise one of them with focus punch while the other will use aerial ace.

Which move is better to use ingame: the more powerful focus punch or more accurate aerial ace?

I like to use jolly breloom in arena (spore-puncher) just few pokemon has insomnia, and if some of them appears, use one of breloom other attacks and wait it faint, then, put in the next slot a pokemon that learns rock slide, a hidden power psychical and shadow ball (to cover flying, and ghosts)

so prefer use breloom in the 2nd slot.

STAB return, normal effectivness: = 153 power

super effective aerial ace is hardly benificial when satbbed return does more

I think that slacking isn´t good in arena, because it attack only once or twice, and in this(ese) turn(s) the opponent can use protect.

As an update, heracross' megahorn took out greta's umbreon while gardevoir's psychic took out gengar & breloom.

gold guts symbol is now mine, now to focus on battle dome with similar team only I am using metagross instead of heracross there.
