My cousin told me about this. It is possible that it'll be $150, or even $100. Nintendo wasn't kidding around when they said that they were trying to attract nongamers. Though I am having a hard time believing that the graphics will look the same as the XBOX360's without hi-def.

I apologize if this has already been mentioned. I haven't been brisking through these forums a whole lot lately.

Back, I guess.
Holy Crap, Is this for real? That's pretty damn low for a console system. o_O

I'm not getting my hopes up, because this sounds a bit too good to be true. =/

I heard that the graphics could only be slightly better than the XBox. Though really, the lower price would be a blessing for someone like me; I really can't afford a system much higher than $200.

And those graphics are good enough for me - I can't really afford a system at $200 or higher, either. Then again, we can always wait for prices to drop, which is what I've done for every system but my DS. *Points at the stupid sticker on his forehead.*

Though, I'm going to have to agree with Devil G. It sounds too good to be true. D:

Wow. I guess they really meant it that almost everyone would have a Revolution. With a price like this who wouldn't buy it? Now to hope something doesn't happen which makes it go higher.

Just because it CAN launch at $100 with Nintendo still making profit, doesn't mean that it will. I suspect that it might launch at around $200 or maybe a little less and then go for a price drop sometime following the holiday season.

If it is $100, though, I will buy it at launch...

I heard that too, someone mentioned it would be around £80 in the UK. I just can't get my head around that figure though, how the hell much are the games going to be to make up for it? From what we've heard, the Revolution is going to be AWSOME, how can they get away with selling it at that price?

This s ABSOLUTELY amazing! As most people have said it is too good to be true so I will not get my hopes up. As we all know the Revolution is going to be the console with the most games by FAR. VERY FAR. PHENOMINALLY FAR. I mean it. But I do not understand how they will be able to make profit (unless the games are very expensive). I reckon they will sell it in one of the packs which will have the now Super Smash Bros. game and posibly Mario 128 (if it exists and comes out on time). this may be some crafty way to still get their wanted profit.

They're not gonna price it that low though. At least 100 quid, like the DS at launch.

That was from developers with what were essentially altered Gamecube development kits. Not the final Revolution kits

It does almost sound to good to be true, but then again I can still beleive it. Nintendo is looking at attracting non-gamers, and what better way to do it than make thier next gen system extremly cheap? Not to mention with Sony and Microsoft increasing prices for their systems and/or games this price drop looks even better. As long as they gain profet for each system sold I can beleive it's possible. Actually even if they make even or lose a tiny bit of money per system sold I still can see them doing it, the more people that have a system = the more money made on other stuff, which could make up for the cheaper systems.

That is just so cheap I'm speechless. That's about the price of the Gamecube when it was already 1 or 2 years old (can't remember which one). With this price, even people who already own a Xbox360 or a PS3 are probably going to buy it.

Sounds like Nintendo's REALLY trying to get people to play the Revolution.

Nice controller design and ideas, sexy console design, online capabilities, capable of being backwards compatible with the GameCube, downloadable Nintendo games from the past, promises of Smash Bros. and Animal Crossing for the Revolution and now a low price.

Win-freakin'-win.

That's awesome! This'll let me get a Revolution quickly! (we usually have to wait a long time to get systems. ) My brother and I are trying to save up for one, and this will make it a lot easier. ^^

If this is true they're making a smart move. I'll buy it instantly. Now all Nintendo needs to do is make the new Super Smash Bros, and Mario as their launch titles. And no, don't make a Luigis Mansion clone. If the controller works out, Nintendo may be back in the game.

Win-freakin'-win indeed. The more I think about it, the more I find it to be a believable price range for the Revolution. Nintendo's consoles have always been cheaper, and I would say that an enticing price tag like that is definetly a good way to attract more customers.

That is exactly what I was thinging. If it is this price then it is definatly a very good move on nintendos part. And even if the graphics are just a bit better than the Xbox, it is still good enough for me. I think that games like the Metroid prime series, Star fox Adventures and the new Zelda all have great graphics and are on the GC, and even if the graphics are only a bit better than that it will still be great. And like the article at the top said, RE4 is supposed to be one of the best graphical games out, and that ran on the GC fine.

Also, I think that £100 is still cheap for a home console at release, and I know that I will definatly be buying it at release. I do wonder how much the games are going to be though.
