Ruby
RHYHORN runs in a straight line, smashing everything in its path. It is not bothered even if it rushes headlong into a block of steel. This POKéMON may feel some pain from the collision the next day, however.
Sapphire
RHYHORN's brain is very small. It is so dense, while on a run it forgets why it started running in the first place. It apparently remembers sometimes if it demolishes something.
Emerald
Once it starts running, it doesn't stop. Its tiny brain makes it so stupid that it can't remember why it started running in the first place.
Fire Red
Strong, but not too bright, this POKéMON can shatter even a skyscraper with its charging TACKLES.
Leaf Green
Its massive bones are 1,000 times harder than human bones. Its TACKLE can knock a semitrailer flying.

But really, Rhyhorn's lack of intelligence isn't the REAL point of this thread.

The real point is... the Pokedex is stupid.

It really, really is.

The only thing consistantly correct about the Pokedex is the Pokemon height/length.

First we have...

INCORRECT WEIGHTS


As for Rhyhorn... apparently he weighs 254.0 lbs. No, hell no, with bones 1,000 times harder than human bones, AND being a rock type. No.

Many Pokemon are SEVERELY underweight, i could go through and find them all, but i'll let you people be the ones to see this for yourself.

INCORRECT INFORMATION

As for Rhyhorn... i highly doubt he could knock down a Sky Scraper, his attack would have to be around 700 for that.

The Pokedex is famous for this, always making a Pokemon look all super powered and hardcore, but when you actually use it... it really, really isn't that good at all. Just check it yourself and you'll see how many Pokemon they make look WAY better than how they really are.

THE GOOD

Besides that, the Pokedex is great, i love the foot prints, the search system, and the cries. I don't hate it, and i'm not trying to make anyone hate it, there's just alot to be made fun of about the Pokedex.

Finally, why can't we hate/bash/talk bad about individual Pokemon? They aren't real people, and no ones feeling get hurt, so why can't we insult a Pokemon if we don't like it?

I agree the stupidest parts of the Pokedex are the short explanations and height + Weight.

Articuno is under 5 feet according to the Pokedex. In the anime it's like....7 or more at least ._.

The PokeDex is probably just for shows. I dunno. But so what if Rhyhorn is stupid, that's what makes it unique just as the other 400+ Pokemon are... probably... I think XD

Some people actually will go berserk if you insult their favorite pokemon. So that's why it's not allowed.

But I could also say something like, why waste your time bashing a fictional character? It's fictional =(

Especially with pokemon, there are so many different types, let's say you hate Pikachu, I know a lot of people probably do. So don't use it =( Bashing a fictional character is just, a waste of time really.

Oh!! I have the perfect example of bashing a pokemon that makes you look stupid :D

I remember seeing a pic from the anime on the site showing a golduck in front of a ludicolo. Golduck is 5' 7'' according to the pokedex and Ludicolo is 4'11'', yet golduck is shorter than ludi. A LOT SHORTER. Half his size.

You explained it very well, and i really can't argue with you.

But...

;078; Ponyta's stupid... because only way that you could really touch it's flames would be if they were released from burning something with a lower burning temperature Alcohol. But even prolonged exposure to Alcohol flames will still burn you.

I feel it though, in the end it's all fictional, but that doesn't mean you can't analyze them to death.

Rhyorn's skeletal frame is much larger than a simple bar, maybe he's about 10 "bars", combine that with the fact that he's a rock type, and even though he's short, he's quite long, and you have a weight area around 500+ pounds.

Weight being reducted because after all he is slightly organic.

Yah, the pokedex is screwy. I think it says that swellow is like 2 feet tall or something, yet it can fly you around the continent. This sin't the only one, just the first one that came to mind.

And groudon being 2000-some-odd pounds is rediculous, he'd have to be like half as dense as a black hole!!!

It gives a lot of laughs...
