So i guess cilan's lure has become ash's go to lure now, good to see the connection between these 2 which i think is underrated.

Lol they actually stretched out the 'water-type-stuck in ground' plotline for a whole ep. But it was fun this time. Reserves made the ep for me, but funny moments like Wailmer evolving, Pikachu threatening TR and Ash tickling Wailord with Heracross/Bayleef. Nice hearing classic OSTs again, that unova one near the end took me back.

Still a good episode though, very clever use of reserves and yay we saw Bayleef!
Pikachu was the real OG here though. He really said I’ma threaten TR to use their mecha, peek up Jessie’s skirt, then drown them the second we’re done. That was some Pikachu snapping at Meowth not drowning levels of dark.

The episode itself was overall pretty dope, it felt like they took every opportunity to showcase reserves doing something, even had some nice Team Rocket/Pikachu dynamic instead of Team Rocket just trying to attack and being inevitably blasted off.
I wish every MPM episode featured the reserves as extensively.

I'd suggest butter as a solution.
The whole episode could've been easily solved immediately if they just caught Wailmer and then release it.
Then again, a lot of things in previous episodes could've been avoided with just capturing/releasing/recalling Pokemon.

Yeah. I mean, Ash and the rest totally didn't look further when Ash and Pikachu were floating in midair, so they'll just see the whale glow pink, float back into the ocean, and ask nothing how it happened.
