Riko is the real protagonist?

Do you believe that Riko/Liko is the new protagonist of the show? Maybe I'm being cynical, but it's still hard to believe that they do something like casting a girl as the main character, after seeing how they treated most of the previous female cast.

She definetely took center in the poster and the only bit of animated footage being implied to be her encounter with Sprigatito so... It's a fair assumption.

Now, the only thing I have my doubts is about her being the battler. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up doing something else.

I think the she will be a prominent character, but she won't be a battler. I instead think that she'll be more of an explorer/researcher.

While without a doubt she is the main protagonist
I do hope she is the main battler as well
She doesnt need to necessairly have the same goal as Ash or even want to be the strongest trainer, just have her battle more please
