Ripping song instrumentals...

Can someone tell me how to rip the beats/instrumentals from songs? I asked a music forum, but they take like three days for ONE post, and people there are rude. So can someone help please? Thanks...

Is this cutting out a certain part of a song you're talking about? If it is then download Audacity. That can import mp3s and wavs and you can alter them then export them as mp3 or wavs

Depends. From a MIDI, or an emulated music file (NSF, SCM, PSF, USF, etc), you can do it.

From something like an MP3? Impossible.
Can you recommend a free program that can record into those music files or MIDI please?

I'm into UK Grime/Garage and there is alot of beats used that do not have seperate instrumentals available.

And thanks for the advice as well, Fleeka, but i mean as in the beat behind a person's vocals/rapping/MC'ing.

Anyone have any other solutions? I'm all eyes. xD

Free program? Can't say much about that. Although if you want a program, Fruity Loops is a popular one.

So basically there isn't a free program? I'm kind of interested in this myself.

Okay, thanks for all the help, everyone. Unless anyone else wants to add a comment, this can be closed now. :)

Can you do the opposite, convert a MIDI to mp3, for free?

Conversion of MIDI to anything is impossible. A MIDI isn't a sound file per se, it's a music table file that the PC can using MIDI synthesizers.
That's not true, as i have video game music, MIDI, and i converted them to Mp3. Google search Replay Radio, and you'll see what i mean. It involves recording sound on your computer into Mp3 format, btw.

^Thanks, i'll try it now.

Direct coversion is impossible. If you have record it by looping the sound back to a line input, that's not really conversion.
Oh, okay fair enough.
