What will u guys name ur rival in D/P

I'm gonna name mine phobos

We never got to name our rivals in R/S/E, so I doubt if we can in D/P.
Although if we can it'll be Matt (Male) or Tamara(Female).

But, we did get to name our rival in Fr/Lg, as well as RBY/GSC. So, it's not unlikely.

I think I'll name my rival after somebody around me who may be a friend/rival already. Or, just something like Ross (Male) or Sam (Female).

I don't think we'll be able to name our rival. If we did I'd probably name it the opposite game (If I had Diamond, I'd name the rival Pearl and vice versa). I'm so original

I would name him Pearl if I'm playing Diamond, and Diamond if I'm playing Pearl. Whoohoo.

My brother named his rival on Leaf Green, Dr. Phil. I thought that was pretty funny.

Although, to me, I actually have to see what the rival looks like first, then I make my decision based upon my judgement.

I hope we can name our rival, it's a cool feature. If I had the game now, I would name his DANTE, as that's the name I used in Pokémon Red/Blue, but by the time the game is actually released in the UK, I will probably have decided upon a different name.

I'm usually boring and pick the standard name, like Gary, but occasionally I name the rival after my best friend/nemesis Tim. If it's female, I'll probably go with the standard.

If I give my protagonist a French name, I'm going to go with a good German name for my rival, either Hansel (male) or Heidi (female). If I opt for a Finnish protagonist, something Swedish will suit, maybe Jan (male) or...I can't think of a female Swedish name. :<
