Foo Fighters are one of the only bands keeping "pure" rock alive. Prove me wrong, and notice I used the plural, bands.
Cage the Elephant too

does anyone think rock is dying? And if so how quickly do you think it is?
Anyone into Shoegaze? or any of the similar genre's like noise rock, dream pop etc.
Ironically, Dave Grohl has played drums for Cage the Elephant. They're a good band.
Any in particular?I listen to a few things here and there.
That's extremely hard to believe. And sad.Cobain would be almost fifty nowadays.
Since you're banned now, responding to this post isn't really worthwhile, but I have to say that the Strokes are doing their part (they aren't exactly "pure" but by being a mainstream band that is rock enough to keep rock alive is good enough), the Black Keys started off well but they have become a bit too produced, and I would say the White Stripes but they broke up.Foo Fighters are one of the only bands keeping "pure" rock alive. I've recently discovered the band Mew through their album And the Glass Handed Kites, and I've really enjoyed it. Can't really say there's anything else in this department for me though.Anyone into Shoegaze? or any of the similar genre's like noise rock, dream pop etc.
