Room blocked by trees in Sootopolis

I didnt see a thread like this and I have been wondering this for a while. In Sootopolis there is a house on theright and inside is an oldman sitting at the table and behind him there is a room but its blocked by 3 trees, how do you get rid of the trees?

Three Trees? I thought it was boxes...(bah, can't remember)

But anyways, it's an E-card reader feature. I don't think you can get rid of them.

You can only enter the door using the E-reader in the Japanese version of the games.

Only, the japanese version? That sucks! I can't even find an E-reader!
