Roselia & Swellow vs. Lugia

My bro has a Roselia and Swellow and I have Lugia. I told him he could do I double battle against me using 6 Pokemon against just my Lugia. Instead, he is just using a Swellow and Roselia in a double battle just against my Lugia that I trained hard in XD and purified and maxed out its EVs in Speed. Should I teach him the errors of his ways by totally inialating his Pokemon, or just decline my challenge. Sorry if this should go somewhere else. I just didn't think that rate my teams would be the right spot.

if his name is pete do you think he is a girl well i say fight him anyway because you can just use a flying on roselia but the swellow will be a little tough

well, my lugia isnt at full speed evs but almost. anyway, it'll take my bro a while to get his Pokemon anywhere near level 75. I am not gonna have Lugia go any higher. The sad thing is that this won't be a challenge cause whenever he sees a wild Pokemon or gets challenged by a trainer, he uses any Pokemon he wants to battle it instead of taking in account of how to get EVs. And yes, I will defeat him. My Lugia knows Earthquake, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam and Psycho Boost. This is what my Lugia's moves WILL look like when I'm done, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Toxic and Recover. Anyway, my bro says he has a good strategy but he is gonna end up getting owned for all the times he insulted Miror B.

I think you should dump Lugia and train two non legends, make it a fair fight. Sorry, I just don't have a lot of respect for lengendaries.

Because they're too easy to use. you get them at a high level and they have amazingly high stats. they're called legendary for a reason.

I'd like to see Lugia get taken down, just because I don't like ubers and would rather cheer for the underdogs. I can see a good strategy by which Swellow might actually win. ^.^

Trouble with that plan is that Roselia is the slowest of the bunch and would most likely be killed in one hit by Lugia, leaving Swellow without his status effect and facade without it's required strength.

I own the 5th gen
for all the people bashing Lugia just for being a legendary, you gotta remember that Pete offered to take on his brother's entire team with it alone. Though his brother opted to use just two of his Pokemon instead of a full team of 6, I'd say it's all fair considering he had the option for a less one-sided match.

Roselia's slower than Swellow, so Swellow'd need to Facade the second turn. Given Lugia's godly defenses, I wouldn't count on Facade OHKOing, even with Guts. This is also dependent on Roselia not getting Aeroblasted/Psycho Boosted/Ice Beamed the first turn.

My strategy (which also depends on Roseila not getting killed the first turn, but, if Lugia attacks Swellow, not killing it, this all but assures victory):
1. Roselia Toxics Lugia, Swellow Endures (Emerald move tutor), Lugia attacks Swellow.
2. Roselia uses any ol' attack (if not killed by Lugia, already), Swellow Endeavors, Lugia attacks either. Lugia either dies to Toxic or is finished by Roselia.

Would make a neat Battle Disc, but it's still defeated if Lugia simply attacks Roselia first.
